Description
In latest decade, our world has started to take giant leaps instead of steps. Everything is developing at such an amazing rate, that every time you exhale - a new invention, discovery or a technology upgrade is made. However this is a rather dangerous path we are walking. One day, technology will take everything in its hands and rule upon us. If it already hasn't, that is...-------
I think this is one of my best CG paintings up to this point and I feel quite happy about this.
Comments and faves very much appreciated
Enjoy~

Without tech, life would be much harder and less varied. You can choose up to a point what tech to use.
On the other hand its good to reflect on this.
Looks great.

I remember watching a report and his wife who decided to reduce their carbon footprint.
They had to give up a lot. No elevator rides, no delivered food, a compost heap in the kitchen.
Basically if it used electricity, it was out because electricity is being made from fossil fuel burning power plants.
If it was not renewable, could not use it. Paper bags or reuseable cloth bags were allowable. Buses were out unless they did not use fossil fuels. Subway trains were out because they run on electricity or fossil fuel. Had to walk up stairs and walk or bike to work.
Oh, yeah they had to use local produce, anything else that was shipped in was forbidden because trucks use fossil fuels. This restriction was hard because if you live in a city, almost everything is shipped in. So the reporter probably had to allow for the farmers to drive in.
I bet that they were surprised about the changes they would have to do to reduce their carbon footprint.
How does this relate to our discussion?
This is like deciding to not use tech, lots of side effects and some are not expected.
Unless you can run electrical devices like computers on a battery or a solar panel, reducing your carbon footprint seems to work as well as renouncing tech.

Nice work! If I can comment, it seems that the eyes of the first girl are not aligned with toward the tv tube, so it looks strange a little. Maybe its the perspective, but it seem so to me.
Just a little bit more, and you will paint from inside the frame... This is the hardest thing to do I guess...

Hmmm, my mom read a story about a car that killed people.
And yes. I think that the simple cellphone has taken over about 50% of the population already. I WILL SURVIVE.
You do a great job on details and texture. I love how traditional everything looks.

I blame my love of scary stories for the idea of machines eating us all striking such fear into my heart, but then again, it is a good kind of fear. If it happens, humanity shall both deserve it and need to feel the consequences of their overreaching.
Fabulous work.

I think it's the composition plus the scene in the background reminds me of the underground mechanical like base in part 2 or something like that unless I'm remembering it wrong. Keep in mind I haven't seen that movie in years. Just saying it feels very 'never ending storyesque'.
