Red Shell, Blue Shell, Bananas in places you didn't expect XD Oh I'm MEAN when it comes to Mario Kart, and :devxxblitzhedgiixx: got to feel ALL OF IT before Mario Kart Wii lost online play.

Yeah, I heard about the online stuff. In fact, I just got a Wii U a couple weeks age and was able to transfer everything from the Wii to the Wii U in the nick of time using the transfer tool (both systems needed to be online in order to make the transfer possible). Because of that, I sold my Wii to Game Stop for $38 in-store credit, which I used to buy a couple games that are currently being shipped to my house. I got a call today stating that they will arrive by Friday.
Speaking of Friday and Mario Kart, I also pre-ordered Mario Kart 8, and I'm looking forward to getting that on Friday. Then my dad and I are going to a White Sox game Friday evening (we're playing the Padres). So, Friday's gonna be a busy day for me. Anyway, do you have a Wii U yet?

I don't have the Wii U yet, I pre-ordered the bundle that gives me the Wii U and Mario Kart 8.
Though I gotta say, I don't see why anyone would sell a console. Ever. Unless it literally gets no love at all. Even after I get my Wii U, I plan to make my Wii just as useful as before by letting my siblings play it now. The little ones would love the games I've got for it. X3

Yeah, but I will tell you, I have gotten rid of my older systems because of the emulators. I still have my NES and Game Gear although they're dead. Even so, if there was one system, however, that I regret selling, it was my SEGA CD, although I have the emulator and BIOS for it.
Because of that mistake, my mother made me think real hard before selling the Wii. I ultimately made the decision to sell it after transferring its data to the Wii U, and this time, I'm for certain that it was the right decision, and here's why. The Wii U has pretty much everything that the Wii had with a few exceptions, but those exceptions did not matter, at least for me.
But since I don't think you will be able to transfer anything from the Wii to the Wii U, I suggest that you keep your Wii system, at least for the time being. If you, however, find an online tutorial that will still somehow be able to transfer all necessary data from the Wii to the Wii U, and you are still able to sell your Wii system, that's when I suggest you sell it.
And just to get you aware of what to expect, there are two menus on the Wii U, one for the Wii U, and one for the Wii. If you're at the Wii U menu, and you insert a Wii disc, you will be prompted to go to the Wii menu, but you can also do this without a disc. At the Wii U menu, there's an icon that let's you go to the Wii menu.
But if there are any other questions on what to expect, let me know, but honestly, you may ultimately want to sell your Wii system eventually, but obviously not before transferring data.

No. As in hope to god I can get them fixed someday. Maybe even use them for spare parts if I replace them.
I mean, while everyone was out buying xbox ones, my old 360 crashed hardcore, fans are dead. But instead of getting it fixed, I replaced it. Wanna know what I did? I replaced it with a refurbished 360. I didn't upgrade at all, in fact, I kinda downgraded, because it was what I wanted.
I love all my consoles, even after they're broken. I couldn't imagine ever selling them.
