Description
It hadn't been an easy day for Noriko. She hadn't slept well and had had that recurring nightmare where she recalled the blast that ripped of her left leg and arm. Her phychologist had told her that kind of nightmares were normal in war veterans but to know that hadn't made things any better.

That morning, as soon as she arrived at Shibuya train station she was welcomed by two secret service agents who took her into an off-limits section of the station. After crossing a secret and electronically locked door, they reached an underground train line that was not in any map. It was Japan's prime minister exclusive train line.

"Welcome aboard, Leutenant" - a woman said, at the same time she did a military greeting.

Despite her injuries, the loss of her lover due to the war, and the fact that she was being forced back into active service; Noriko still felt great respect for the army. She was wearing a navy blue formal dress with a shiny white stocking and a black velvet shoe. Her crutch was blue as well so it blend nicely with her outfit.

The train wagon didn't have a single window so Noriko couldn't see where she was being taken into. Suddenly, about thirty minutes later, the train stopped and they got off in a desert secret station seemingly in the middle of nowhere.

As soon as she got off the train, Noriko saw that a convoy was heading to the station. The car at the center of the convoy line, a luxurious Nissan President, stopped right in front of her. Seconds later, one of the secret agents opened the car's door for Noriko.

A woman's voice spoke from the inside the vehicle:

"Geez. And I thought I was crippled! Thanks God, at least I still have my two arms!"

"Please hurry up" One of the agents said.

Noriko entered the car sitting next to a red haired girl who had only one leg. The agent closed the door shut and the car started. The girls couldn't see the driver, there was a mirror-like screen between them.

"Good for you" Noriko said. "Despite me lacking my left arm and leg I bet I am way less crippled than you"
"Ok! Ok! Calm down! It's just that ya'know? You're the first fellow amputee I've met since I left rehab" the red haired girl said, gazing at her empty left trouser leg, neatly folded.

Ten minutes later the car arrived to a big, luxurious mansion. Two maids, pushing a power wheelchair each, approached the car.

"Leutenant Misami-san please use this chair" one of the maids said "I will take your crutch to your room"
"Nakamura-san" the other one said "this chair's for you"

The two girls sat in their respective chairs which started to move by themselves.

"What the...!" said Noriko while moving her chair's stick backwards as if she was trying to brake.

"Those wheelchairs are being remotelly controlled by Sarah X98 right now" one of the maids said. "The joysticks are of no use right now"

"So that electronic bitch strikes again... what a cybernetic whore" Noriko said. The chair stopped suddenly (Noriko almost fell off) and resumed moving.

"Let's just enjoy the ride Noriko-chan! It's fun! Can this chair go faster?" red haired girl said.
"Leutenant Noriko for you, Miss Nakamura" Noriko answered.

Just five minutes later (Noriko thought it were fifty minutes instead) they arrived to a small patio.

"I want my crutch back" Noriko said.
"But sir... " one of the maids said.
"Do as she wishes" a voice coming from an intercom said.

"Right away General Wheeler" the maid said. She gave Noriko her crutch back.
"I'd like to have mine as well" the red haired girl said.
"As you wish Miss" and the other maid gave her her forearm crutches back.
"We'll be back in a while. Please feel yourselves at home" the maids said at the same time.

"I think we started on the wrong foot" Noriko said. "I'm Noriko Misami. Nice to meet you"
"We can only start with the right foot cuz is the only one we have! Name's Misha Nakamura. Nice to meetcha" the red haired girl said, laughing.

Noriko couldn't help but laugh as well. It was true: to both of them was literally impossible to start anything with any other foot than the right one.

A third girl entered the small, yet comfortable patio. Her wheelchair rolled as fast as a thunderbolt on the wood floor. She was thin, her hair was long and pitch black. Her eyes were two fierce gray lasers covered by purple glasses. She was using custom spoke covers for her wheelchair which featured an angry rabbit yelling "STUPID"

"Wow! A cripple gathering! How touching!" the wheelchair girl said.
"You're the most crippled of us all. Not only your legs are paralyzed, your brain seems to be useless jelly. Noriko said. "To be in a wheelchair does not give you the right to be an asshole and tell everyone they're stupid"

"What did you just say???" the wheelchair girl said. "I'm a paraplegic but I am perfectly capable of teaching you a lesson if you don't watch your mouth"

"Don't mess with the wrong girl, brat" Noriko answered

"Calm down girls! Calm down!" Misha said. Someone's coming.

The maids were back with a succulent lunch accompanied by a man in a black suit. He took a tiny cell phone from his left pocket and turned on the camera.

"Smile girls!" he said "this one is for posterity!"

There was a flash and the man smiled, gazing at the photo.

"I am Captain Yutanabe" - the main said still smiling - "Welcome to the X-Weapon Second Division. It's good to see we finally have pilots so spirited and eager to fight!"
