I tested the completely new set of textures for my morph. I tried to match my skin tone. This is the result of rendering with Iray.Model: DAZ 3D Genesis 8 Female with my morphs
Clothing: My own Beach Volleyball Set for Genesis 8 Female
Hair: Samantha Hair (www.daz3d.com/samantha-hair ). Manually modified and remodeled for Genesis 8 Female.
Textures: Genesis 8 Female Base textures with my own diffuse channel maps.
Noted that the hair doesn't render properly. If you have any idea to improve the hair textures, please let me know.

Yes, that's true. The same scene took at least 10 times longer at my laptop.

There are a number of nice 'shortcut' Iray shader products :
UHT Hair shaders for Iray
IDG Hair Shaders
There are a few others, but I have these two, and they've worked on newest to some of the oldest hair in my collection.
To go the long way round, learn more or just avoid spending money, there's a rather good thread on the Daz forums. www.daz3d.com/forums/viewthrea… . it's old though, from Iray beta era. Some of the tips in it may work on the Samantha hair.

the problem is that hair doesnt have iray-compatible mats. your best bet is to use an iray-specific hair shader.

Yes, the surfaces are not compatible with Iray. I'm still working on the fixes.
