Description
A character rotation for Character Design and Storyboarding for Animation class. Would you believe that my generic Amazon morphed into this pirate lass? The pirate lass I intend to use in my pirate story. Or the base version thereof. I definitely mean to change her wardrobe, but otherwise *waves abstractly* She looks a bit Disney-esque but that's only the rounded style I used for the eyes.I need to work on her profile more. I love her nose!
I intend to hold off on naming her until a fitting name hits me in the face. Not that I approve of violence
Originals 9.5" height on Bristol board. Penciled, then scanned and compiled in Photoshop 6.0
Edit: Thank you for pointing out the problem with her head in profile! It's fixed now ^^

oooh, we'll have to do that in animation class too..I think it'll be next session. I just started animation in montreal ^_^ so far, I like it. Its just the teachers that are pretty boring and such x_x
anyways, you really did awesome in doing that char rotation. That will probably be one of the most difficult things for me ^^;;; I hope everything is doing great in your program ^_^

where are you going to school? I think you did an awesome job, are you going to have to do a colour rotation for later? Might I suggest an elven maiden? I think that'd be cool ^_^

I'm going to the Savannah College of Art and Design - sequential art major. The teachers are the coolest ever - they really know their stuff, most have worked or are still working in the field, and they care about individual students.
I don't think I'll color this rotation, unless I decide to try to ink it once it's returned to me. But you'll definitely be seeing more of this character. I'd like to try to do other rotations too

sweet, I'm going to Sheridan College in Oakville Ontario, if you really want to do another rotation piece would you do one for a trade with me? I've got a female pirate character that I need to get down but I don't do rotations well, I'm not an animator, the idea of drawing the same thing over and over again isn't too appealing cause I bore easily. ^_^ what do you think? interested in a trade?

Loooove pointy-ears (b/f has them IRL!). The only problem they present is that I'll have to put a bit more thought into her world to decide if there are separate races, which races that would include, if everyone's elfy, or what

She's really cute! Great job. One thing that caught my attention though was on the 3rd angle her hair looks flat in the back like her head's not complete. I don't know if it's just me looking at it wrong...

Nah, no animation for me. This class is required for my sequential art major. I think I'll enjoy it, tho. Our next assignment is to create a sculpee maquette of this character.
