Description (It isn't really rated R. I was having a laugh...eh heh...)

My third Metal Gear Flash animation! Like in 'Little Joe', my darling was kind enough to do voices for me, and considering how MASSIVE this one turned out to be, I'm surprised he had any voice left by the end. Or the sorrow or the fury or...ahem, that was a very weak pun. The working file for this one is over 200 MB in size. My poor laptop.

Good LORD, and I thought the hours put into 'Little Joe' were inhumane! A belated Christmas present to all who enjoy our animations!

With a million hugs and kisses and words of praise for my boo, for doing the ever so important voices for The Sorrow, The End, The Fury and The Pain. Squeaky The Fear, Squawky Polly, Screamy The Joy and...um...baby Ocie...are all my own inferior work. ^_^ Where I could, I tried to inject my own little blobs of humour into this fictional retelling of The Boss' childbirth, and I hope a few people enjoy it. =3 It was tiring, but precious, to make.

And my first recording of The Boss' voice (for Little Joe 2) is deeper, closer to her middle-aged voice, but since she was younger (and mostly screaming) in this animation, her voice is higher and perkier. Rest assured that she sounds deeper and more tired in the NEXT project.

No matter how many disclaimers are put on art, stories or animations, there are always people who just look and rant without bothering their bottoms to read the author/artist's notes, but here is my HUGE disclaimer about our little 'boss' story:

* Though The Boss was only called The Joy at this stage (in case anyone thinks I was too lazy to learn anything about her before I began all of my art and junk - I love you Boss!), we had a little joke about how she wanted to be superior to the rest of her unit, and made them call her 'boss' in lower-case during WWII. Then when she was officially given the title of 'The Boss' (all capitals), she was all smug and up her own backside about it, giving her boys plenty of aggro. She only really liked The Sorrow calling her his Joy, and I just like how 'boss' fits. It makes her seem all large and in charge - which of course she is. All hail The Boss! *

( on the other hand, The Fury has an authentic three-tank Russian model flamethrower, so nyah! X3 )

Huzzah! I bet nobody bothered to read all that. Enjoy the animation, and our own mini version of what REALLY happened in Normandy...

A very delightful viewing. Ah, the humour.
Did I hear, "You'll never appreciate the value of a Timmies doughnut?" How very Canadian.

Also, this really reminds me of a fanfic that I once wrote, but never completed called, "The Emotions of War"

Very enjoyable animation!

Wataaah! XD I'm so glad you like it that much!!! If you don't know how to fave yet, just go to the page with the animation on ( [link] ), and to the left-hand side of the screen (under the title) there should be a list of options (you might have to put your cursor over them to make the words appear). Under "Full View", which should be a magnifying glass, is "Add to Favourites", which is shown as a star with a "+" sign next to it - . Click that, and it'll be added to your favourites. You can use this the same on any deviation you want to
I hope that helps at all. And thank you again for expressing your enjoyment! ^_~

Thank you :3

I knew how to favorite regular pictures (by taking the thumb/picture and dragging it up) but not how I could favorite animations, that helped, ty I really did enjoy it too, since I take sex jokes as one of the best kind of jokes. The only thing I had to wonder about was that the baby was tiny, and could have easily came out of the vagina, and why the boss is a chick. Am I missing something?

Either way, I really enjoyed it

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AmyJSmylie In reply to Thoadthetoad [2009-03-22 17:13:33 +0000 UTC]

Lol, that's one way to put it XDD I guess maybe we don't know why The Boss had to have her baby via C-section, but she just did in the actual story of the video game, so that's what had to happen here. Some women have different "sizes" than others, and since we don't get a graphic look down there, all we can assume is that either she was too small for the baby, or the baby was in the wrong position in the womb (that sometimes happens in real life). But you never know, in this animation, maybe he couldn't be born naturally because he was wearing a hat! XD

But thank you, I'm very glad that our slaving over this animation has been appreciated, and that some people bother to "get" the sense of humour!

Thoadthetoad In reply to AmyJSmylie [2009-03-22 17:20:34 +0000 UTC]

bwahahaha, I loved it so much, including how The Sorrow just completely didn't care that the Boss was dieing and all attention was on his new kid (of which was ocelot...right?).

I wish we could have gotten a look down there, with a baby foot coming out or somethin'. That'd make my day, hahaha.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AmyJSmylie In reply to Thoadthetoad [2009-03-22 17:23:53 +0000 UTC]

Lol, it would have been crazy! XD I'm happy enough with all the rude humour I got away with, for now. I can never stop punning and making bad jokes, I'm a terror.
And yes, nobody seemed too concerned that The Boss was dying - The Pain was being fat, The End was senile, The Fury just wanted to cop a feel, The Sorrow was concerned with his baby (Ocelot, like you said ^^), and The Fear was reading a book. XD Bless her, she didn't get much sympathy. But it's not meant to be realistic and it's all for fun, so I don't feel too bad. Otherwise I make her be mean to them all the time, so she got her revenge! 83

So on a completely random note, do you play any games? :3

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AmyJSmylie In reply to Thoadthetoad [2009-03-22 17:40:35 +0000 UTC]

I enjoy Metal Gear 3, as you can see, but I tend to play less hardcore games, and leave things like that to my fiance while I watch. My big games have probably been the Monster Hunter and The Sims series, because I love character customisation and anything to do with well-done fantasy beasts, since I'm a published fantasy author. And I was addicted to Endless Ocean for a long time, lol. XD But co-op, I enjoy action games and survival horror, and we've played Gears of War (one and two), Left 4 Dead, and other things in the same genres. We'll be playing Resident Evil 5 co-op soon. That's basically it I think. ^^

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Thoadthetoad In reply to AmyJSmylie [2009-03-22 17:50:55 +0000 UTC]

ah man I wish you played combat arms, I'm a little hardcore, but can't afford live or one of those routers. Whenever I get something extra (games, movies, books, etc.) it's either on my birthday or on x-mas. So I play free internet games, and got into nexon. I play Combat Arms, which is like Counter Strike, if you haven't played either, you should totally download combat arms (requires a free account with nexon) here: [link]

It's constantly growing, and it has co-op, team deathmatch, and all sorts of modes (they're even working on a zombie mode, I hear).

I hear Resident Evil 5 is a crappy game, and really is racist, because it labels a lot of the olden African tribes with stereo-typical masks and voodoo rituals.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AmyJSmylie In reply to Thoadthetoad [2009-03-22 22:48:28 +0000 UTC]

It's a shame, Resident Evil 5 was really short, and a lot of characters got changed, none really for the better. And Andrew did say that at certain points of the game, African tribes were running at Chris whooping and wearing masks, so it does seem a little extreme. I personally can take it as artistic licence, and Sheva is obviously a positive black character (though she seems to have been a bit of an afterthough when they realised that the game was being seen as racist o_O;; ), but a lot of people seem to have been offended. It's such a shame, especially since the earlier games were so good. But in 4 and 5, there was so much more emphasis on the combat, rather than the horror. ._.

Thoadthetoad In reply to AmyJSmylie [2009-03-22 22:55:26 +0000 UTC]

Yes I completely agree, since the special agents came in it's starting to turn into a sci-fi horror, with guns. I miss the whole horror of it all...which is why I'm starting to write my own horror stories, and the Zombie Survival Club...heh.

Coolies! It's good to make your own when current things are letting you down! I hope to do the same with the fantasy genre, even if my books are a cult phenomenon rather than million-sellers, the people who read them really enjoy what I do. Good luck with those stories ^^

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Thoadthetoad In reply to AmyJSmylie [2009-03-22 23:05:26 +0000 UTC]

Really? What's your series?

I have a species of fantasy/hopefully to turn to cult qualities as well, I call the alien race the Nergyl...I hope they catch on. I made a fucking bible and faith after then ;~;

Sad thing is that I more often than naught completely abandon a story after a month or two, because I lose taste in it or I forgot the point of it, or it was writers block.

So, do you go on the DA chat? I like live chatting...it's always just better to me, lol.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AmyJSmylie In reply to Thoadthetoad [2009-03-22 23:50:17 +0000 UTC]

I don't go on any live chat, and I'm not on DA very often (I'm just here today because I'm trying to empty my messages!), so I don't chat on here. Other people seem to like it though, I'm just not an outgoing social person
My series is The Grenamoya Island Saga, I've had it for thirteen years, and I'm just finishing book four. The first two were published in 2006, but I had issues with my publisher so I took back the rights, and since then I've re-released the first one as a hard cover with a US printer (book two is being proof-read now, but looks very good), so I'll finally be printing book three (for the first time!) soon. I've been in local newspapers and a UK writing magazine and stuff, very exciting. XDD But now that I'm doing it all myself all of my publicity is manual, so I won't make another go for newspaper interviews until I release book three, which is new. My books are character orientated, hardly any humans (I have like, one human who's now a demon, and one other human who's a tiny minor character) with trolls, goblins and dragons, some elves and vampires, and cat-, dog- and lizard-people, so it's nice and "furry-friendly" too. I don't advertise myself so the whole thing is very intimate and I have a cult following, but people who get back to me always enjoy my work. Since I've had basically the same story for over a decade, it's great to know when people like it. ^_^ But I was ill lately, so I know what you mean about writer's block. I hardly ever get it, but when I do it's normally because I'm ill, and it lasts for ages. XD Back on the ball now, though. Thankies for your interest!
Good luck with the Nergyl, and with finding a style/storyline/whatever you need to get over your creative block. It will come someday, and you'll roll with it! ^_~ Sounds like at least you have good background material on your Nergyl race, keep up with that and it will make them seem more realistic and complex when you focus on a story!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Thoadthetoad In reply to AmyJSmylie [2009-03-23 00:27:11 +0000 UTC]

True, I have yet to focus on the Nergyls story, as it is much of a franchise I hope to create, with several different stories all in it's own. I call it the Biridlium Nipto, and hope it to be the next Necronomicon (which was something of a bible itself), but I've been having doubts lately, which is just plain dreadful. I don't have writers block so much because I'm working on a little fanish thing, based on the forum and it's tendencies, as well as a storyline original to me called the Moderation Wars, I can give you a link if your interested.

I'm glad that you have a whole series out, and I'll be sure to read the first chapter in Borders, I warn you however, that I am extremely HARD to keep involved in a book, as most of them lose my intrest by the midway point of the book. It took me 10 times of going "Ok, let's finish harry potter" to get through harry potter the goblet of fire...and then another 3 just to get the last chapter done.

I'm more of a writer than a reader, if anything. But I'm glad you liked my Nergyl, I've spent about a year working on the conceptual designs of 'em all.
