Description I don't get to do a lot of cakes so I was very excited to do this

My sister just graduated from college and I wanted to do a cake that would have some of her favorite things, plus it needed to feed at least 70 people.

The cake itself is a white chocolate cake and filled with milk chocolate mousse and dark chocolate chips, coated in vanilla buttercream and covered in fondant. My sister loves the color blue and butterflies, so I knew right away I wanted to incorporate both of those into the design. The hydrangeas were a bit of a nod to the giant bushes that used to surround our house while we were growing up. Hydrangeas always make me think of home because of those bushes.

The ribbon was a little problematic, the lattice pattern made it difficult to get it to stay in one place, but overall I'm pretty happy with how this came out.

Ugh... I love working with blues, but you can't eat them without keeping a toothbrush happy. And you look around at the crowd of people smiling and you go "uh oh... my bad".

XD I had that happen a couple of weeks ago at a party! They wanted everything to be pink and I tried a couple of little things just before dessert went out and my fingers were stained pink just from touching them, not to mention what happened to my teeth haha. It was too late to do anything, though! Thankfully, no complaints

Damn, that's just amazing, my mouth is watering but the ribbons wrapped around... How do you take them off without ruining the cake?

Thank you so much!

Well the ribbons are only attached at one point in the back of the cake, so after the pictures are taken and it's time to eat we just pull them off to cut the cake. It's easier to do that on round cakes than it is to do that on an angular one.
