Biography: Jaximet "Ajax" Preston is the last living member of his family and the only survivor of the Blackwind Research operations, where he was tortured in attempts to learn about ancient beings referred to as Archons. The compound they operated in was also where his family died at the hands of the Blackwind scientists when he was only 14. Before he gave in, the operations were stopped by a military squad from the Mobian Dominion, who had been searching for the Blackwind scientists for months after they had begun assisting local bandits in exchange for resources. When they found him, they quickly escorted him to safety and patched him up. Being the only survivor, the Dominion's leader, Hackel Warfield, took great interest in him when he immediately offered to be a Dominion field medic. He excelled, showing unparalleled knowledge of anatomy, and quickly rose through the ranks, eventually becoming one of Hackel's closest friends and an elite Red Sentinel Squadron operative. After serving for 6 years, he left to live alone in the nearby forests, although he still has his Red Sentinel uniform and equipment locked away.

Now he lives in a wooden cabin with Natasha, whom he found and saved from bleeding out after an unfortunate rock climbing accident 19 months ago. It's no secret that he has grown fond of her, and he has even thought of proposing to her. It's rare to find them far apart from each other at any time, but he avoids talking about their friendship in open conversation.

Relevant Information: According to Blackwind data files, Ajax and his family had the ability to become Hallow Archons if there is a suitable energy source, or Corrupt Archons if mentally pushed to the brink of madness. As a Hallow Archon, his skin will shine a light tan and he will be capable of manipulating light and natural energy into small shields and blasts. As a Corrupt Archon, he will glow a dark blood red, his eyes will become black with white pupils, and he will become extremely fast and aggressive. Should he manage to combine the two, he will become a Pure Archon, a nearly indestructible deity covered in the same gemstone on his head. As a Pure Archon, he is capable of distorting raw energy, levitating, summoning crystal projectiles, and altering the environment around him. It is believed that they wished to use this power to destroy the Dominion and control the planet.

Fun Fact: When first drawn, Ajax didn't have ears or a tail! This was originally supposed to stay that way, being lost from torture, but it was eventually scrapped.
