Aurora in Ancient Greek mythology the goddess of a morning dawn.
The word "aurora" occurs from Latin aura that means "a pre-dawn breeze".
Ancient Greeks called the Aurora a ruddy dawn, goddess Eos. The aurora was the daughter of titan Gipperiona and Teji (in other variant: the sun - Geliosa and the moon - Seleny). From Astreja and the Aurora there were all stars burning in a dark night firmament, and all winds: rough northern Boreas, east Evr, damp southern Notes and the western tender wind a Zephyr bearing plentiful rains.
