Fun Fact: The idea of zombies losing their rabid hunger is inspired by both Marvel Zombies and Bub, the star student zombie from Day of The Dead (1985). I like to think this is how the more feral zombies in this world gets "rehabilitated" back into functioning parts of society. (Among other methods .)

Well, the zombie gerbils just attacked other gerbils so they're kinda just scurrying around then, annoying people with their furry undead-ness. Funny story, I should get to that eventually.
Also, Dingoneks: they're supposed to be animals found at Lake Victoria at Africa, described as "sight fourteen or fifteen feet long, head big as that of a lioness but shaped and marked like a leopard, two long white fangs sticking down straight out of his upper jaw, back broad as a hippo, scaled like an armadillo, but colored and marked like a leopard, and a broad fin tail, with slow, lazy swishes of which it was easily holding itself level in the swift current, headed up stream" by big game hunter Edgar Beecher Bronson.
