I know, I was too. But the fangirls have no right telling you off for liking heterosexual content, yuri, OR yaoi. And if someone does try to troll you, block them, and laugh it off. They're the one with nothing better to do.
I know it's hard to do, I used to be overly-sensitive and critical of myself ^.^ I'll protect you from them! Just come to me if they pick on you, k?

It's something I had to learn over time. I convinced myself my writing isn't bad by showing it to people. If they say it isn't bad, then it can't be, right? I wouldn't go on about my writing being 'great'. But as 'Everyone is Free to Wear Suncreen' goes, "Don't berate yourself too much, or congratulate yourself." A little is fine, but when you're full on, "I SUCK!" or "I'M AWESOME!" you won't just be damaging yourself mentally, you'll be annoying the hell out of people around you.
As for in general, it's still a work in process. But I have learned not to take it.
One good piece of advice: ACT confident. Even if you aren't. When a troll (real life or no) sees you displaying weakness, that's when and where they attack. I'm not saying keep everything inside, that isn't healthy. Confide in those you trust!
And when trolling happens, keep a stiff upper lip. Ignoring is the BEST option. Responding to a troll just gives them reason to continue. Ignore, block, forget. And if someone does hurt you, act like you felt nothing, and cry on someone you trusts shoulder
Being hurt is inevitable. But the pain will heal and go away. And you'll be even stronger than before. It's like being snapped by a rubber band over and over. At first it stings!! But after a while, you feel nothing at all, because your skin toughens up.
