Today I want to introduce my first WoF OC, Rosefinch, the Skywing/Mudwing hybrid. She's Clay and Peril's daughter. Her name was a suggestion by She gave me a list of Skywing names and I found this the better one. Thank you so much!!!
Anyway, first I was only imagining how an offspring of Clay and Peril would look like, so I started to do a sketch of her. I based her in Sunny's appearance, who looks more like a Sandwing like her mother than a Nightwing. So Rosefinch also looks more like a Skywing like her mother, but with Mudwing features. Her colors are also a mix between her Mudwing and Skywing heritages.
I don't even know if Clay and Peril will be together in the end (I hope soooo T.T Please, Tui, make that happen!) and I don't even know if it is phisically possible for Peril to have dragonets, since she's born with too much fire and all, but I still wanted to give it a try and imagine how their dragonet would look like
So, for now, let's pretend she's from a parallel universe.For now I don't plan on writing fanfiction about her, but maybe in the future, who knows?

I thought about it once. I was thinking on making lineart templates for the main tribes only. Hybrids are too complicated and there are a lot of hybrid choices and I'm a very lazy person...

She's so pretty!!! I always love seeing hybrid dragons from Wings of Fire because the blended designs are always so unique. I love the colors you chose for her, especially the fact that you gave her Peril's eyes (which is arguably my favorite part of Peril's exotic appearance). I also like that you gave her the big MudWing back feet! XD She's so cute and beautiful at the same time.
I would love to see a Wings of Fire series or super edition about the dragonets' children, in part because I would love to see how they look on the covers of their books. If that ever happens, I hope Clay and Peril's child (if they get together, which I hope) looks like this!

I really enjoy designing hybrid dragons too. All of mine are complete OCs (not related to any of the canon characters) and I've only drawn one of them so far, but it's fun to think of what dragons from more than one tribe would look like. I haven't done a mix of more than two tribes' heritages yet, but one day I'd love to combine three or four tribes in one dragon and see how it turns out!
