Description
I've decided to redraft my 1970 map using a new basemap.However, instead of showing blocs, it just shows countries and their respective colonies.
EDIT: Added the border between the two Nigerias...

So much I just missed on that last comment.... poor India, random enclave in the center of China, and Japanese Empire still around. Sikkim is independent, Bangladesh is much larger than OTL, North and South Yemen have unified... etcetera.

That's not a random enclave, by the way. That's a lake...
Japan was rather less ambitious this time 'round, mostly because China had a much larger metahuman population to draw from...
And that's not Bangladesh - that's the Republic of Bengal.
The Yemens unified ITTL, rather than the Somalias. (Except for Aden, which Britain kept.)

Survival of the Italian colonial empire, no WW2, Kashmir and Balochistan independent, South Sudan and Katangaland independent, British Somaliland independent, the Dutch kept quite a large chunk of the Netherlands East Indies, but let the core go to the Republik of Indonesia.
Jordan includes Palestine, Czechoslovakia divided into the Czech and Slovak halves, and Cyprus is either independent or part of Greece (

Not just Natal, mind you. All but the Cape is missing; how did you not notice that?

oh I did notice. not knowing the full names but, I saw the Cape colony as orange.
And yes.. it all should be orange or.. at least associated. and i did see that in the other image.

Nice to see that South Africa got to keep their 5th province [Namibia] as they wanted.
