I would rather prefer if the Star Trek retains the national borders and give the defense and foreign responsibilities to the UE and UFP.

Makes me wonder how it looks like by Star Trek: TOS or The Next Generation? If I recall, there were still recognizable regions like Iowa, Russia and Provence.

So I guess that is a map of your new Star Trek Timeline.
So if that is about several decades after world war three (which did cost the life of 600 million people worldwide according to Star Trek: First Contact) so why is it that former Soviet Russia is still totally destroyed, but the US not? I mean, those two nations had about 90% of all nukes worldwide, so each of them would have suffered the most, I guess, or not?

Mostly because the US had (a) better luck and (b) Vulcan redevelopment aid, which was denied to the USSR due to (i) not being a democracy and (ii) all Vulcan elites from that era being arseholes (see ST ENT for further details).
