Description
I was looking for stock photos when I came across this one. I knew right away what I wanted to do with it, so I immediately downloaded it. It wasn't the most complicated image I've done but the look is really neat, I think.Original image from sxc.hu.

This reminds me of Mass Effect. That really is some amazing stock. And you've used it really well, it's a subtle inclusion into the photograph, as you said, but it changes the mood and meaning completely.
Can i suggest toning down the opacity just a tiny bit to give the effect of the planet being seen through the atmosphere rather than within it? But other than that it's really nice.
You do all this stuff on photoshop don't you?

Yep, I just got my hands on CS4. Lots of new stuff I'm still getting used to but I like it.
And yes, looking back on it that does look a little bit too dark... thanks for catching that

Nice, I'm still working with CS3 unfortunately. Is planet and space art the main thing you do?

My big thing used to be photo chops, like my iToo one, but I started getting into space art. It's mostly what I do now, but every now and then I do something different, like with the fractals one
