I am currently working on a project that involves building a city inside a tree, and am using this painting as a reference, in some ways. It is hard to find a good "giant tree" image online, and this one's exceptional, especially for my purposes.
When I'm done, I may link shots of the project here... so far only the trunk and some external guiderails are done.

Oh...this is beautiful! I love the lighting from the moon and the sun on either side. The design of the trunk reminds me of Celtic knots, the softness of the leaves and the piece of earth like asteroids around it...just gorgeous.
