Basically, the idea is based on bending walls to bend light, and pressurizing the openings by using large openings and small openings to create dramatic lighting effects. A lot of the buildings actually use the movement of the sun to change the way the lighting moves and as it moves over bent floors and bent walls, the ambiance of the room would change dramatically. ย Good stuff!

Reminds me of a book called "The Pressure of Light." Many architects actually play with similar concepts, the concept is based on using openings in buildings to bend light by creating tunnels for the light to go through and to use shadows to diffuse the light. Many interesting architects in Europe have played with such concepts. ย

I'm very sorry for not answering before. Being a student of architecture myself I know about the concept, but I haven't read the book. Thanks a lot for your kind comment and the book recommendation.ย  this was a school assignment for the course ''parametric modelling'', so this is the result of a little use of grasshopper with rhino I don't know if I'll ever get chance to design something like this instead of stupid little dull houses, but I just don't care

Awesome, glad you found it interesting. Its a small coffee table book. Majority of the work focuses on an italian architect who used concrete building to bend light and create movement of light using windows and pathways to bend sun light in various shapes. Its a very interesting concept, this type of architecture is more sculpture based rather than practical design. But none the less really cool stuff.ย
