This reminds me of they trope used for a battlefield graveyard. Anything from Steven Universe to Dark Souls. I'll be honest, it's one of my favorite tropes and one of my favorite kinds of settings. So... I love it! Now the only question is... what is she looking at?

That's a lot of swords she has to clear up! I really like the fog you've brought into this too, gives it a creepy feeling. Would you be interested in having The Magpie feature as a writing prompt in a writing app called Daily Prompt? It uses daily visual and written prompts to inspire stories and poems. I like the poem you've written for this and it would fit so well in the app. We only ask for permission to feature the image and add all credits in the app.

A great suggestion. Just one correction though, the poem was not written by the artist. It seems to originate from sometime before 1780, as recorded in John Brand's Observations on Popular Antiquities.
