Description
I think I will test out this critique thing. I have been interested in terraspace ever since I came to DA, and I always try to do better at with with every piece. This was thrown together in the last couple of days. I have been working on a bigger project off an on for a couple of months now, I thought it would be the next thing I submitted, but this actually came together quickly and nicely.
I am definitely open for name suggestions. I swear, deciding the name takes longer than the art itself.

First of all, I like it! Very cool indeed.
I always feel bad giving out critiques of others' work, but here goes...
I think if I were to nitpick this piece, I would focus mainly on a couple elements of the sky. The colors and the planet look really good, and like the concept of the clouds and the comets. The clouds, however, look a little bit "embossed" almost, upon closer inspection. The darks almost look too dark, and the whites too white. The comets look really cool, and the ONLY reason I would critique them at all is because I can spot the Lens Flare from Photoshop on the closest comet. While that's not necessarily a bad thing, these types of things always jump out at me so I thought I'd point it out. e.deviantart.com/emoticons/s/s⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="

But other than those two small things - I really like it. I really like where the comet meets the bright horizon line, and I also like the fiery pits (as one of your commenters noted).
Nicely done! e.deviantart.com/emoticons/s/s⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="

True, Thank you for the critique.
I definitely agree with it having too much pure white and black. and lens flairs are overused and easy to spot.
I am glad you like it.

Nope, the terrain was made in a program called mojoworld. its kind of like terragen. the rest was done in photoshop.

I like mojoworld. it has potential. the community and developers seem to be totally dead though. oh well, vue 7 is a bit more useful.
