Description
The DAMNADAS Corp. is proudly presenting an insight-view into the hard work of our fearless field research-teams who are constantly travel all corners of the world to search for fossils of interesting predators for our genetic engineers to reconstruct, or, even better, living cryptids... This time we want to introduce you to Dr. Susan Chantall who re-discovered the awesome Megalania prisca aka Varanus priscus in the hot and dusty Australian outback for us. As one of our most avid field-scientists she did not only discovered a living specimen, but made a lot of further amazing discoveries just in the first few minutes after her discovery. As she took some photos of the giant reptile she let it approach too close to her and suddenly she found all her former published theories confirmed:... as this creatures grow tree times -or even more- larger than the known Komodo dragon, it's possible it can even sprint faster. Komodo Dragons can catch up a human victim in a short sprint of about 30 to 50 meters. I assume, that Megalania prisca would consider the same range for a successful attack on human prey.
Komodo Dragons are capable to devour prey up to the size of a goat whole. Their loosely articulated jaws, flexible skulls, and expandable stomachs allow them to swallow prey whole. A Megalania prisca would be surely accept humans as natural prey and would be able to do the same with a hunted down human. And, as i presume, devouring it even alive to safe energy, lubricating its wriggling prey with secreting a high amount of slippery saliva and gulping it down in about a minute...
(Dr. Susan Chantall, "Real Dragons: Man-eating giant reptiles of the present and ancient times", DAMNADAS-Press, 2035)
A second member of her team took this photo as Dr. Chantall started to do a really deep and interesting investigation of the digestive systems of this awesome predator. When we finally catched the beast two days later we found out that digestion took about five days... and the remains of Dr. Chantall came back to the daylight on its natural way. Susan's indigestible remains, mainly some of her larger bones and the partially dissolved remains of her clothing and shoes, are now, cleaned and assorted, presented on public display in our creature-museum... We know that would be her own wish too! Thank you very much, Susan, from the DAMNADAS-crew! This was really a great discovery and we appreciate your intensive work to found out more!

I wasn't very active in the last weeks due my new job and a horrible flu that got me too... So this sweating, wriggling, kicking, flailing tasty snack is for all you hungry damsel eating creatures out there as my please for excuse... Enjoy your meal

Technical side:
Done in DAZ-Studio 4.6 Pro and PaintShop Pro X4.
Freebie credits: SLR Camera modeled by shima: www.sharecg.com/v/29500/browse… Thank you!
Update Jul. 20, 2013: I got a lot of questions about Megalania prisca... It is basically this model: www.contentparadise.com/produc…
But i "kitbashed" it extensively and made a lot of modifications in Hexagon on it, added a smoothing-modifier, improved the rigging, made a bumpmap and created a lot of new morphs and texture-details. The tongue is new made from scratch too and available here as an independent Poser-model: fav.me/d5z8wl4

For further research, I would like to conduct an experiment if digestion varies with outside temperature. Would digestion be faster in hotter climates and slow in cold climates? Or will the results be neutral? Also, I'm a small girl so I think that the creature will digest me quickly.

Glad you like it...! I don't wanna spoil too much, but we will see much more of this voracious beast in "DAMNADAS - The Run" Episode 4, including some more details of Dr. Chantalls awesome discovery and what remained of her after staying about a week in the reptiles digestive system...

Hmmm... i think, i have a relative fair allocation of men and women in my degenerated artworks. Some poor hunks shared a similar fate: [link]
And if you work for the DAMNADAS Corp. you have to see the food chain on a higher level than only fear for your little life. Dr. Chantall knew that and instead of using her stungun she tried to run away... maybe to test the sprint-speed of the new discovered predator and how it correspond with her theory that she has described in her book about the assumed hunting- and feeding-habits of Varanus priscus aka Megalania prisca:
... as this creatures grow tree times -or even more- larger than the known Komodo dragon, it's possible it can even sprint faster. Komodo Dragons can catch up a human victim in a short sprint of about 30 to 50 meters. I assume, that M. prisca would consider the same range for a successful attack on human prey.
Komodo Dragons are capable to devour prey up to the size of a goat whole. Their loosely articulated jaws, flexible skulls, and expandable stomachs allow them to swallow prey whole. A M. prisca would be surely accept humans as natural prey and would be able to do the same with a hunted down human. (Dr. Susan Chantall, "Real Dragons: Man-eating giant reptiles of the present and ancient times", DAMNADAS-Press, 2035)
So much about the excerpt from her book... I think she realized, that she was right in all assumed points and to see her theory confirmed made her end much easier for her.

Ah, you're going to play THAT route and try to go for the whole "higher purpose in this" thing. Lemme quote one of the few Nietzsche quotes that I actually think cuts the Gordian knot and gets right to the knitty gritty of most things that try to be so much smarter and more artsy than they actually are.

Hmmm... i see my sorry 3D-effords not more profound than every B-movie produced by Roger Corman, Troma or The Asylum. Only the characters and "Mad scientists" in some works may see it different... But that's happen only on the other side of the screen

Being compared to the Asylum films is not a GOOD thing. They're corny and cheesy and lame as hell. And at least Roger Corman's stuff is UNINTENTIONALLY funny. This isn't trying to be unintentionally funny, nor does it come OFF as unintentionally funny. It just seems mocking, mean-spirited and more than a little chauvinistic.

Yes, there was this interesting clauses in the embloyment contracts for DAMNADAS field-researchers:
§177: If you or someone else got hunted and/or eaten by a creature during the work, it's not allowed that you or other team members interfere or try to rescue you and they have to stay away an let nature do it's job.
§178: If you or someone else got hunted and/or eaten by a creature during the work, the only required interference by you other team members is to take photos and film-footage of the event for later analysis.

I presume, Dr. Chantall lost control of her bladder (in fear or in in excitement? Probably both) as she realized that she was reptile food for sure. No wonder, that the successful hunter checked the salty taste of the liquid that suddenly saturated her jeans with it's tongue extensively before it tossed its head back and gulped her deeper down
