Hello from ProjectComment!
I really like the pose of this character. The anatomy is pretty much correct, despite being a combination of two different animals, which is hard to pull off. You also did a good job drawing the landscape and making the ground look uneven while still making it look like the character is standing on the ground.
A suggestion would be to maybe add more shadows and places where the light hits the ground and character, since it seem the lighting is very dramatic here. The sunset, also, is unrealistic. You do a good job of creating dramatic lighting, but sunsets almost never fade into a night-black sky as quickly as is shown on this picture. Or if they do, it's because the sun is already almost below the horizon. If this was true, then the light the sun gives off wouldn't be nearly as bright and the entire scene would be a lot darker.
As for the wings on the character, I think you were trying to make it look like the wings are pressed together, but it looks more like they're sideways on the character. Since the character's back is turned to the camera, the wings shouldn't be facing toward you as much as they are. I would suggest looking up reference pictures of wings and going from there, because drawing from pictures is extremely helpful and can assist you with different angles and positions.
Anyway, I like the piece overall, especially the stylized way you drew the character and the sand. You're drawing style is very cute and I like it a lot.Β

Hi I'm coming to you live fromΒ
projectcomment.deviantart.com/ !Β
I really like what you did here! The chacarter's stance is cool while they're gazing at the sunset in the dunes. The desert has nice warm colors and the bubbles in the sky is very pretty and artistic looking.Β
I do wonder about the character's wing though. Does it have one or two pressing against each other? That part is a bit unclear and if they really have two wings than you may want to be careful on drawing them.
There's a lot of light going on in this which is rather odd as there aren't any shadows. It'd be interesting to see the shadow play in this. Like the creature needs one and the dune hills as well. I notice you did some shading on the character so it seems really odd that you didn't add anymore to the rest of the scene.Β
Thankfully shadows are easy to put in unless you use a program that doesn't allow layers, then I could understand why you didn't go full on with it. Still if you are going to put in shadows, go head on or none at all rather than half and half. That's just what I think on the matter.Β
That's really all I've got as far as critiquing on this art.Β
The setting is so peaceful and beautiful that one would want to travel there just to see the landscape. The picture looks as if it was made for a story and that it would be about the journey of a beast traversing the lands while on a quest. The quest could be heroic or out of survival, so many ideas!Β
This is such an awesome piece and I see potential in your skills so keep going. You're getting there!Β
Have a good day. Β

The DAs logo is a bit distracting, but aside from thatnits great. The creature looks so cool, though I'm not sure what it is, the perspective is amazing and I really like the sun slowly rising/setting.

Let's talk about that DA logo. I love the rest of it, but it's just got the logo and that interferes with it. I give it a 9.9/10.
