When someone kills the only family you have, you basically lose it, and more because it was for some petty mattes that could be easily solved if they both sit down to discuss it, but they were willing to fight each other becuase they enjoy fighting (all the game is about Sigma tricking Repliforce and Maverick Hunters to fight each other).
She wanted to be killed by the one he loved, anyway, because the pain was so heavy in her heart. She cannot be with the one who killed his brother, but she didnt want to be whitout the one he loves, thats her tragedy. The tragedy even increase when you realize Iris was basically unable to fight in a psychological way (she was the Colonel counterpart and they designed both of them sa an unity in this way), so in some way the fact of figthing itself could kill her circuits (not sure if its totally canon or just a comic thing).
At least that's how I understood it.

Ok guess all that is true Sigma DID sorta trick Zero and the Colonel into fighting each other and all 3 of them did need to pull themselves together and discuss it. I mean it just had to come to this in the end

What's most sad about that is that she went out of her way to betray and attack Zero willingly.

Its pride and sadness in their purest form. Iris did her best to avoid the fight between them, and none of them listened, they were too eager to fight each other. She wanted this not to come, but in the end they had to do it. they had to fight until death. So in a way it was a way to punish them... but in the end it was a way to kill herself, making the one he likes to kill her, because the pain was so strong. I see it this way

If you ask me, I think they should've put Double in Iris's place.

I think its interesting to make separated bosses for both character. Still, is clear they kill all the new characters from x4 to reestore the "status quo" -> To Add repliforce as a powerful and independent reploid army that was no maverick but they wanted to diferenciate themselves from maverick hunters was a way , and to add a "very close girl" for zero, and another "best friend to X" was a way to change th balance in Mega Man X story (and they didnt even know if the game will be a success anyway), so they felt as if it had to finish with the main characters in the same way they were when the story started, no new chararacters, no evolution of the story ark, all new characters dissapear some way or another...
As the game was a success, they changed that in the next games.

yeah, it was sad. She can be considerated the very first reploid, and capcom did that she died, with almost all repliforce, just like it use to happen in all places, to make X and Zero end having the same they had in the begining of the game - no loss not gain -. But looks like they noticed that actually female reploids were well recieved in the saga, so after this one they keep on designing more female reploids ^^

jajajahaha, he de admitir ke no me esforce mucho en el diamante. de todas formas no acabo de entender lo de las lagrimas... es decir, no se porque tienen ke ser mas brillantes. por lo general las lagrimas reales no se ven tan bien O.o y de todas formas son tan pequeñas que no facilitan la tarea de ponerle brillos y sombras, por eso no las toque mucho O.o

Nono, pero el diamante en sí está perfecto, su forma, todo, está muy bien logrado...
El problema sería que no tiene mucho brillo o reflejo que lo haga ver un poco más real.
Con respecto a las lágrimas, yo entendi que no se veían mucho... O.o
