So this came from me procrastinating on another painting that I really don't want to work on and have to get done pretty much right now.. procrastination is wonderful >.>
I've only gotten a bunch of "eeeh, you've done better than this, this thing's kinda weird" kind of responses (at least in the early stage anyways), so I don't really know it it's any good or not. You tell me.. does she look really cool and epic and do you love her like I do? Or are you only confused as to how such anatomy can possibly work?
I'll probably do some more weird stuff like this in the future, hopefully executing it better. : P

I wish I could get paid to procrastinate. I'd be rich. Great work!

First, I really like the whole color palette of this. The combination of pink, yellow, and purples give the piece a vibrant and dynamic compostion. Secondly, I like how you did her feet and hands as well as giving them a yellow hue so it would stand out. Thirdly, I like your perspective as well though i can't help but feel that the way her back arches must be painful. If your intention was to exaggerate that, then okay

Thanks. You know funny thing is that I spent some two hours on coming up with those colors, but somehow without noticing I ended up with the exact same color scheme as Messing About 4 (the thing I just uploaded right before this).. It's not pink! I'd say it's more of a peachy pale orange, if anything seems purple it's probably just really, really gray, maybe with a slight blue/cyan hue. And yup, the back is super broken isn't it, it's weird that it doesn't bother me at all, I absolutely love it, but everyone around me is really bothered by that, maybe it's just pushed too far I guess. It's probably not okay, if a large amount of people think that something is wrong, it probably is, I'll play around with that.

Oh yeah, about the colors it isn't necessarily pink but more of a salmon pink-ish hue (kind of like cherry blossoms!) You're right about the purple though, I just couldn't put around my finger what color it closely relates too. For me, the way her back arches is possible, lest the lower part of her body conforms to the direction in which it arches to. I do think you're trying out a lot of interesting and dynamic poses, and the concept in general is very interesting. Even without the possibility above, it could work more if the angle of her bust is a little more contorted to the lower half and the body frame is a bit larger. I hope this critique helps out, I'm always looking forward to your works

Well I won't be fixing anything here, doing so seems like it would break either the pose or the composition. I'll definitely think some more about it next time though.

She looks absolutely amazing. The pose is cool, the perspective is really well done and the dynamism is all over the place; not to mention that she is very beautiful!! I really like this picture, you should be very proud of it.

Thanks, I guess I am proud of it, but I'm not too sure I should be. Is there anything about it that bothers you? anything that doesn't really look right or could be better? Probably the spine, but hey maybe there's something else.

I don't really know... I guess that if you start looking for things to improve, there will be aspects you can change; but the overall feel is quite good for me. Nothing of this piece bothers me personally

Hmm, alright then thanks. I'm not sure about it either, usually I see dozens of flaws once I finish things.. >.>
I think it's probably just that the anatomy is too exaggerated and that it's just not detailed enough I guess?

I tend to have that behaviour as well, one must learn to let things go once they're done
Anyway, I can see your point on the anatomy. However, considering she's some sort of somersaulting space bunny girl, I wouldn't give it that much of a thought. As far as I'm concerned, it looks good overall. The effects you wanted to deliver are there, and the piece is really dynamic.

pfft, somersaulting space bunny girl.. that made me laugh, but it's pretty much exactly it. ^^

Thanks, I'm going to be aiming for crazy dynamism this year, hopefully..
Can you suggest anything that is wrong or could be better? Something that doesn't really look too great or right?

Sounds great I can't do dyanmic poses for the life of me yet but I'll be trying ^^
The only thing wrong I can point out is the anatomy of the girl here. Her whole spine seems to be twisted up and very contorted. (Though she doesn't all look that human to be honest, so if she's an android/robot and is able to twist around that way, disregard me here)
I guess I also have a suggestion? I notice in most dynamic pieces, parts of the background are blurred out. Like her, a slight blur on some of the background, or even her left leg might make a nice effort and give focus to the character. I'm not exactly sure on how to do that that well, but it's something I notice when people draw a lot of dynamic pieces. Hope that helped at all!

Oh god the spine, yes. It sort of arches back like crazy, but also rotates in a way that would pretty much cause a normal person to die. I really need to keep these kind of things in mind for my next sketches. (even though for some reason it looks awesome to me, not sure why)
When it comes to blurring I do use it quite often, I actually tried to do something with that here too, but it somehow just made it look really bland and empty. Maybe I should do a more painterly equivalent rather than relying on blurs, something kinda like this: 40.media.tumblr.com/41a5a4e1d9… (it could potentially look kinda cool, I'll try that sometime).
Thanks a bunch. ^^

Ooh that kinda blur is cool too I haven't tried it yet but it's pretty interesting, good luck
And no problem ^^

Thanks, not too sure about the design, essentially it's just a bunch of prints on a flat surface, I did not really know what else to add though. ^^'
Maybe it's a weird thing to ask, but is there anything about it that bothers you, anything that doesn't look that great or could be better?

You know honestly the character design with the prints on it works it times me in a world where technology gives birth to a creature like you created i would only say take it a step further with the back ground i loved it and i imagined she was in a port breaking space and time. Or she was being made and dropped into a cyber bid for use. I just think there was so much more to the story i wanted to know of the piece xP the prints make her other worldly and i'm into that xD it's a good illustration

Ahh, backgrounds... those are never fun. I can see what you mean, I sort of just scrapped something together quickly. I initially had the idea of recycling this old sketch of mine and adding this as the background: 64 08 2013 - Sketchbook 81-85 , but man would that have taken forever, that sketch was supposed to be this huge city with buildings and such. There's no way I could do that ha ha. But I'll definitely work on my backgrounds in the future, a couple of people have mentioned that.
