Just because Nick is a channel for kids, does not mean that they should insult their intelligence by shelling out shows that rely on fart jokes, toiler humor, mean spirited humor, and basically no effort whatsoever.
If Nick could get by with Donnie's parents from the Wild Thornberry's being killed by poachers in the dead of night, so they could totally have some edgy material for kids shows.
Avatar was awesome!! Invader Zim was awesome!! And those two shows I know got the screwed by Nick.
Just for kids is not an excuse, especially if we live in a day where talking magical horses can appeal to ages outside the targeted range.

Yeah there are many series which are kind-of aimed at kids but still are dark and edgy.

Yes I have watched those two shows. In fact I've watched almost all of the DCAU. Those were good. Not like we're gonna see anything like that again. The closest we had was Young Justice and Green Lantern, and Cartoon Network screwed them both and shell out that craptastic Teen Titans Go which fails as a comedy. Now we only have the DC Animated Movies.
