Well for starters they exchanged the outfits, the white one belongs to brunette and the black one to the blond. As for the series, it's Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha. In short terms it's a series about Magical Girls packing Gundam-level weaponry and pulling fights straight from Super Robot shows XD There are three series' in total, Nanoha, Nanoha A's and Nanoha StrikerS. In the first two the protagonists are 10 years old, StrikerS happens 10 years later. And when I say Gundam-level weaponry I mean something like this

Just a tidbit or two or more. There are mangas for A's and StrikerS as well as Sound Stages (Audio Dramas) for all three series, they act as supplementary material, character development and additional information and such. Then there is a movie which hit the cinemas recently and is available on hekhem torrents, And there are two mangas which happen 4 years (Vivid) and 6 years (Force) after StrikerS.

Yup :-3 I rarely start watching anything without thoroughly researching it on tvtropes, quite often I actually start watching something Because I read about it there like with The Hill of Swords and In Flight.

Yeah, to quote tvtropes "Godannar is a love letter to old-school Super Robot shows, and it's an absolute treat to any fan of the genre" Big robots, girls in skimpy outfits, LOTS of fanservice there is even a Dominatrix Super Robot which Transformation Command is "Slave On" XD
