i started loving the leper after one darkest dungeon, i was naive and the dungeon itself was a very bad run, 2 aflicted an 3 of 4 at death's doors, we managed to survive thanks to a vigurous leper named Gael, who started tanking and killing EVERYTHING on it's way, unfortunatly, i ran out of food and torch
and when everything was lost, i decided to run out of there as fast as i could (AKA: quit the quest) unfortunatly for whoever doesn't know, if you try to leave a quest in THE darkest dungeon, one of your characters may die, staying behind to prevent the incoming horrors to kill all of the party while they run, gael was the one who desided to stay behind....
even tho it's a game, i can imagine myself as a member of that party, running in that bloodtainted dungeon, while looking behind, and seing the back of a man dressed in rags, with his sword in hand, walking to his death, only leaving his mask behind....the guy died like a fuckin hero
rest in peace gael, your sacrifice may never be forgotten.

what makes it even more tragic, the leper (as an unique character) was once a noble king, loved by his people, who after getting leprosy, decided to leave his kingdom... knowing that his own death was nearby
a noble soul until the end

but what i meant with that is that with the events on my game and the lore of the game, it makes it even more tragic

Maybe just my luck, but my Lepers, despite low Accuracy of his attacks,they usually hit, and hit HARD. My fav frontline hero, other faves are Occultist ("get over here" move, healing,artillery) and Plague Doctor, never tried Grave Robber.

Both the Leper and the Hellion I have a lot of trouble keeping alive. With the Hellion it's kind of understandable since a number of her abilities debuff herself, but with the Leper it's mostly because I can't seem to get one that isn't a huge stress sink, leaving them chock full of quirks and constantly needing stress relief due to being overwhelmed. I have better luck with whole groups of distance attackers than any group I put a single Leper in.

I having that problem right now with my leaper. He's got damage out the ass though. He's a level 2 but he will likely kill anything in one hit. But I see your point.

I've got three or four of my characters to level 3 and found out to my annoyance that made them useless for completing the harder/longer Apprentice level missions I was saving them for; when they reach Veteran status, they will refuse to do Apprentice level quests (which I think is shite, actually).

It is shite. That shouldn't be a feature. You want them all at that level after all.

I'm hoping that's something the developers do away with after the official launch, but I don't know at what level the heroes are destined to cap at this point.
I guess it's just proof that buying into a Early Access title is rife with risk, just like going into the Darkest Dungeon.

I hope so too. We want to level our characters. Not keep hiring new ones to go on levels that are we need to grind.
