the rendering eez awesome... i'm trying to get my hands on 3d work as well. still trying.. i think i can grasp the concepts right now, but i'm still not used to the controls, esp the selection. -_-;
it's either Maya4 is extremely buggy, or my comp is crap 0_o;

Looks very spiffy, I like the old photo look. Really gives the impression that this is a symbol for more or less old memories.
I was being at school when I heard about it, all they knew was that a plane crashed into the WTC and they assumed it was an accident. When we walked home some people were teasing and joking about that but I was kinda lost in thoughts, at home I watched saw how the first tower and then the second tower collapsed. Oh and I got to know a good friend of mine on the same day last year.
OK that's it from me thanks for bringing back memories, no matter if they're good or bad.
I love the composition, colors and the idea behind this and how you executed it.

this is an amazing piece. i guess we all have the memory of learning about it for the first time. it is weird to think you were working on this piece during that time.
but getting back to the piece, I'd love to know how you made the reflections on the sphere so realistic. i've tried standard reflecting materials, and raytrace materials, but they always come out so gittery and crappy. your work is so clean and crisp. amazing, like i said earlier. i am looking forward to more from you!

I remember that i had walked home from school, we'd been back for the 4 days and i was in now in the sixth form (to do my A Levels). And i basically got home and my mum was watching the TV. I just watched TV all day basically after that, evey channel was the same. It got as boring as crap, but you watch the stuff. I remeber my mum making lunch and i was calling her through to see the towers collapsing!
I saw in realtime the towers collapsing, it was BAD!
Good work by the way...ohh yeah very good work. I love the background how it fades away by blurring towards the top. It's great.
Ohh i see the robots coming towards us, i at first thought he was walking away from the viewer. Looks even, even, even better now!
