April showers bring May flowers, and the same has happened here in Equestria. After so much rain, flowers spread across every field and lawn, carpeting them in a sea of colors. Butterflies flutter by, pollinating every flower they can find to fill their bellies with nectar, and spread pollen to help blossoms become fruit. Birds return from the south after three months of absence during winter, and sing a happy little spring song, searching for their soulmates. Spring is the most beautiful season of the year, and everypony enjoys it, and that includes the Ed Ponies from Peach Creek.

They of course have different ideas of enjoying spring. Ed loves galloping around, chasing birds and butterflies like a little foal, tossing flowers into the air in his wake. Edd (Double D) also enjoys the beauty of spring. He'll also locate new flowers blooming and study them. With his magnifying glass, he can determine if they're in good health, if they've been pollinated, or what species they are. One minute he would be like an entomologist and observe butterflies, and the next he can be a botanist to study the latest blooms. Eddy, however, wouldn't really give a lick about spring. In fact, it bugs him when the birds are in the air, singing merrily, and flying wildly through the air with their partners. Eddy despises birds, and the spring birds always get on his nerves, especially when one perches on his head. It also irks him that there is only one week of spring vacation instead of three months, like with summer vacation. Of course, all three Ed Ponies have no idea that spring is the time when most ponies and creatures get twitterpatted. So, they better be careful, because they might run smack into a pretty face and lose their hearts... and probably their minds just to win her over. Spring is in the air.

Here's my second Ed Pony spring project. This was supposed to be submitted somewhere in the middle of the month. What kept me from doing so is the simple fact that Ed, Edd n Eddy never had spring episodes. So, what would they do in the spring? I have no idea! Well, I had some ideas, but after thinking about them, they would be better for different projects. Then, near the end of the month, I thought about having Ed dressed up as a flower and Eddy would sell him as a rare "Ed Flower." I already got started on that, but at the last minute I decided to have Ed gallop around, frolicking in the flowers and chasing the butterflies.

Before working on the Eds, I got to work on the background. Once again, I used the same background from my Ed Ponies Playing in the Snow , Ed Ponies Playing in Fall Leaves and my Meet the Ed Ponies . Besides the flowers, you can tell the grass and leaves are cooler in color scheme compared to the summer colors from my Meet the Ed Ponies submission. To provide ambience, I included the blue butterflies from EENE, as well as some birds. I liked how this all turned out. I'm just sorry it took so long.

Well, that's all the spring projects. Like I said, if there were spring episodes in EENE, I would've made more pics of them in the spring. Anyway, there is another project to come, though it's not so fertile. If anything, the Eds will be in a place where there's no water. Stay tuned.
