Meet the third princess of Equestria and the co-ruler of the Crystal Empire — Princess Mi Amore Cadenza, or Cadance, the Princess of Love.

Before the return of Princess Luna, Princess Celestia ruled Equestria alone for a thousand years. However, at some point, a new princess came along: Cadance. But, unlike Celestia and Luna, she wasn't born an Alicorn. But she became one...

With her origin unknown, Cadance was found in a distant woods as a baby Pegasus, and taken in and raised by a village of Earth Ponies, where she filled their lives with love and compassion. Prismia, a reclusive sorceress who harbored jealousy toward the villagers, used a powerful necklace that amplified her evil and jealousy to drain them of their love, causing them to become distraught. Cadance confronted Prismia and defeated her with the very magic she stole, and Prismia changed her ways. As a result, Cadance was surrounded by magical energy and transported to a strange place where she met Princess Celestia, who recognized Cadance as a true princess, turned her into an Alicorn, and adopted her as her royal niece. From that moment on, Cadance lived in Canterlot, and was trained in the ways of magic by her new aunt. But while she wasn't being taught to be a princess, she also foalsitted a Unicorn filly named Twilight Sparkle. The two became very close and loved each other very much. To Twilight, Cadance was "the greatest foal-sitter in all the history of foal-sitters." They would play together, and Cadance would care for Twilight by bandaging her and wiping her tear. But the most memorable thing they would do together was do a little song and dance with each other, which became their secret hoof-shake: "Sunshine, sunshine, ladybugs awake! Clap your hooves and do a little shake!" While Twilight believed that she, "a regular old Unicorn," was lucky to have a princess for a foalsitter, Cadance always reassured her charge that she was anything but a regular old Unicorn. And it would seem that she had a good feeling about that.

Later on, after Luna returned, Cadance entered a relationship with Twilight Sparkle's older brother, Shining Armor, and sometime after Twilight moved to Ponyville to study friendship, Cadance and her love were to be wed. But little did they know, someone else had other intentions. The evil Queen Chrysalis of the Changelings found Equestria ripe with more love than anywhere else, but she and her hive could not penetrate the barrier projected by Canterlot's captain of the royal guard, who was Shining Armor. Chrysalis kidnapped Cadance and imprisoned her in a cave beneath Canterlot, then using her Changeling powers, the wicked fiend disguised herself as the princess and fooled her fiance and everypony else. Everypony that is except Twilight Sparkle herself, who got invited by Shining Armor to be his best mare. Instead of recognizing her beautiful-hearted, caring, and kind foalsitter, Twilight noticed how demanding, totally insincere, and rude she seemed to be. Twilight tried to broach the subject to her brother when she witnessed "Cadance" putting a seemingly evil spell on Shining Armor, forcing Twilight to conclude that shee is "downright evil." After Twilight tried to expose "Cadance" for her evil, she was ignored and shunned by her loved ones. Then, Chrysalis trapped Twilight in the caves beneath the capital of Equestria, where she found the true Cadance, and after a happy reunion, the two managed to escape, and expose the evil imposter. Chrysalis used Shining Armor to weaken the barrier, and her Changeling subjects swarmed Canterlot, defeating even Twilight and her friends. But after Cadance freed Shining from the Changeling queen's vile spell, the two ponies used the power of their true love to banish the evil Chrysalis and her horde from Equestria. Cadance and Shining Armor were then officially wed and became the rulers of the returning Crystal Empire.

But their honeymoon had been interrupted by the evil dark lord, King Sombra, who threatened to take back his dominion. Cadance used her magic to power a protective barrier to fend him off, leaving her haggard and weary from lack of sleep and food. And after Shining Armor had his horn cursed by Sombra, hope seemed lost. Fortunately, Twilight and her friends arrived. Eventually, Twilight located the Crystal Heart, the only artifact that could defeat Sombra, but was imprisoned by him at the last second. After Cadance gave in to her fatigue and her magic ran out, Sombra launched his second invasion. Fortunately, Twilight's dragon assistant, Spike, who accompanied her on her assignment to recover the Crystal Heart, brought it down from the tower. Cadance saw this, and rescued both Spike and the Heart before Sombra claimed it for himself. Cadance tossed the Heart under the castle, where it was fassened by two crystal pillars. The Crystal Ponies regained their crystalline colors and bow to Cadance as their new princess, fueling it with their love and light. Cadance, Shining Armor, the Mane Six, and Spike also received a crystaline sheen on them, while King Sombra and his evil were destroyed by the Crystal Heart. Once again, Cadance brought love and light into a dark and hopeless world, and she would continue to this day with her beloved Shining Armor at her side. But their love for each other would do more than protect Equestria, but also bring a new light and love. But that's another story...

Well, here's Princess Cadance. I will tell you this, making her vector is a pain. The outlines I can handle. The gradient for her mane, tail, and wings I cannot. I can't make them exact no matter how hard I try. Next to Celestia, Cadance is among the most difficult ponies to vectorize. Before then, I had to find a perfect pose for her. I think this one works. If not feel free to inform me. Despite the struggle, I love her. She's one of the best princesses Equestria has to offer. Her compassion and love warms the hearts of all, and her friendship with her sister-in-law is just as heartwarming. Twilight is so lucky to have her childhood foalsitter in the family. Britt McKillip's performance as the Princess of Love is wonderful too. She's the perfect choice. Spread the love for Princess Cadance.
