In early Feburary 2013, i bought the Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil for PlayStation 2. Atfer playing it, I really enjoyed the game and hope to one day draw the lead character, Klonoa. Fast forward a year. So by this time i was kinda bord and looking to draw something new. I'd looked throught my games and notice two people I'd wanted to draw. First was Sly Cooper, at the time I was interested in drawing him but i did'nt pursue it. Later on, I was so happen to find my Kolona 2 manual book out of it's box and before putting it back in I'd wonder, " Should I try to draw Klonoa? He didn't seem too difficult becasue i was already used to drawing Sonic and Fan made Sonic character's and since there anatomy was about the same I'd figured I would try it out." As for the portairt it self, I frist tried to picture a image in my mind on how to pose him. Then it hit me, in the game, when we are first introduce to Klonoa. He is shown falling out the sky with an ring in his hand and to me he'd looked so peaceful ( of course he was a sleep ) and he's scene made an impression on me. Even now, a year later i can still picture that moment perfectly. So I went straight to work, while still bearing that image in my mind. I frist skecheted out the body in (using MS PAINT) green ink and then after I had everything fleshed out I'd than begain inking the black on top of the green.Then I'd used the invert tool method and got rid of the green. After that i colored it in the flat colors, then copyed and finished the shading and background in Gimp (ver. 2.6) and vola! Klonoa Falling, was complete. I have to say, I'm really pleased on how it all came out, escpecially Klonoa! This was my very first time drawing him and definitely won't be the last. I also want to add that this is one of my favorite pictures, even two years later, It still holds up! I hope everyone will enjoy it too~! :3
