it reminds me a beautiful shot.. I think it was by Jean-Loup Sieffe but I'm not that sure, I'd have to check...
a very very peaceful empty valley, with grass in the foreground...
you feel the silence of it , the wind running..
a white thing in the horizon...
the text says its the deads monument, beacuse in this valley had one of the most deadly fight in the WW1. Dead people lying under the green grass....
this picture had really moved me
and it gave me the subject for my end-of-highschool art project
the hidden behind what you see
and cemetaries are the best for that

I love this one, as one guy said above, the emptyness of the photo gives a lot of feeling to it.
Exelent b&w pic, the rocks looks like a huge, old and powerful whitness, the main subject of the photo. The image of the place looks so calmed, and then you imagine all the deads, the explosions, the noise of the battle, and all that blood.
How did you feel wen you were there?? did you touch the sand just to feel like 60 years before??
Definetly a fav.
