Sigh...that's what many of us wanted...but we knew from the very beginning it could never be that way. It was set in stone that somehow Luke and Leia grew up without their mother and Leia said she was dead. Even if there was the possibility that Padme faked her death and went into exile, it's not in her character to abandon the two things she has left in the galaxy.
Imagine trying to write a couple and then being reminded that it must end with the guy being evil and the woman being long gone and the children having no idea who their parents were.

Perhaps if only QUI-GON had survived & WAS allowed to become Anakin's FATHERLY FIGURE OF A MASTER!!! He would've been more understanding about Anakin's needs like his worries about his mother & his feelings towards Padme! Anakin would NOT have been tempted by Palpatine's LIES TRICKERY & DECEPTION towards the dark side then!

If Only... indeed. I always enjoy "What If" fanfictions and fanarts. Especially when they involve Luke and Leia. You did a wonderful job of capturing Anakin and Padme's happiness. And I think Obi-Wan enjoys being a full-time Grandpa.
And before you say anything, Anakin has mentioned in the prequals that Obi-Wan is like a father to him.
