I had the same problem with a boy but only he wasn't my friend he was a class mate. I never really noticed he liked me until his friends told me he does. He kept on writing letters to me. So the right thing was to ask my friends to help me out. One day when that was still going on i was with my friends and sadly he is friends with mine so we was in the same room. I went as far as i can away from him. so i left because of that. i ran as far as i can but then walked around the play ground (Opps. i forgot to tell you this is lunch time!) and i saw the room from the play ground because i went closer to it. My friend was looking for me and when i saw her i ran away from her because she wanted me to go in that room with him. I ran back to the same place and then she stopped chasing me. then i went to my lesson. After that day he didn't like me any more and i was so angry and i said "GOOD NOW I CAN LIVE IN PEACE WITH OUT SOMETHING LIKE YOU IN MY LIFE!" and that was it.
the best thing you should do is tell a teacher and a friend because when i told a teacher they said it's harassment and that he should stop it. The teacher helped me to because she talked to him and now he stops following me. He kept following me every where i went. You can tell your parents too. They have the right to know but i never told them and when i never knew i was talking about it my dad was mad at me. But now he avoid me and doesn't talk to me any more.
I know he is your friend but you shouldn't let him do this to you. It's either him keep following you or you breaking up your friendship with him to stop this. I never had a choose too. But i wanted him to stop what he was doing.

pero no te preocupes.
Hay dos cosas que creo que puedes hacer; una es que puedes darle una oportunidad, quien sabe tal vez llegue a agradarte en algún momento ya sea por que es buena onda o comparte tus mismos gustos.
O puedes decirle la verdad, que solo te gustaría tenerlo como amigo, pero dale una explicación para que no se sienta tan mal
