An update to previous deviation .Same concept and story as before, but a change plus refining in battle system!
Battle system take place in the widest as 15x15 grid, where now movement, attack range, as well tactics and strategy are emphasized!
Games inspiring this are:
- The Legend of Heroes: Trails series,
- South Park: The Fractured But Whole,
- Grandia,
- Lost Sphear,
- etc.
Here, I give a sprite illustration of a battle system on the 15x15 tactical grid! Luigi shoots an enemy with a Poltergust-shaped rifle which was installed in Luigi's Poltergust latest advancements.
The yellow circle is the Limit Break meter to execute super strong moves, solo or team-up. Meter fills by dealing or taking damage.
Turn order is based from Trails series and Final Fantasy X. CT, or Charge Time will determine combatants' next turn. The more the CT after a turn, the longer the combatant waits.
VP (Valiant Points) feature will be similar to Star Points from Paper Mario 64 and TTYD, plus Brave Points from Trails of Cold Steel. VP can be used to summon the power from the Star Spirits and also executing Joint Attack, similar to Trails of Cold Steel's Burst and Persona 3/4/5's All-Out Attack.
