Description Sorry for taking so long! Gotta take a break and currently I have an RPG mood right now these days after so many work to be done... so think I want to visualize or even illustrate this one.

Since crossover RPGs Tokyo Mirage Sessions and Kingdom Hearts exist, the idea for Nintendo collaboration on RPG may be handed to Square Enix, Atlus, Koei Tecmo or Bandai Namco to join forces... I always wanted an action or turn-based RPG where you can have a mega grand adventure across the Nintendo universe. Thanks to Super Mario games such as Galaxy and Odyssey, you can borrow some of those mechanics and concepts to the RPG. 

You know, I always wanted to visualize Nintendo crossover RPG starring various Nintendo characters residing in many worlds just like Kingdom Hearts do... by involving original character (MC), Mario, Luigi, Peach and Toad as main protagonists, travelling various worlds to save the universe from certain doom!

Hypothetical main characters' weapons on the artwork as adventurers:
MC: Sword (can use many weapons such as Spears, Axes, Bows, Guns, and many more!)
Mario: Hammer
Luigi: Poltergust (similar to Mario + Rabbids, he prefers to fight from the back lines!)
Peach: Parasol (with enhanced healing abilities)
Toad: Axe (magical since I could portray him as a Black Mage on the party)

The main party starts from MC, then Mario, Luigi, Peach (at possibly 5-15% part of the game, after being saved and wanted to adventure together with MC, Mario and Luigi) and the last will be Toad (assigned to guard Peach at all costs)!

The story? I always thought the story could take issues from real world problems, such as desperation, growth, maturity, anything... something relatable to human life. And the ray of hope in the midst of crisis like this.

On the screen, the party is exploring Mushroom Kingdom, which is one of many worlds in the Nintendo Universe to explore. Here, the party surround Goombas and Hammer Bros in Side Attack position (possibly 1/16 to trigger?) after initiating the First Strike! Mechanics taken from Mario & Luigi, Persona and Final Fantasy series.

Possible Stats (inspired by Fire Emblem)
HP - Health Points 
MP 
- Magic Points
STR 
- Strength (for dealing Physical Attacks)
MAG - Magic (for dealing Magical Attacks)
SPD
- Speed (determines who goes first, exception from Preemptive strike, Side attacks, Back attacks, being ambushed or surrounded can determine which side will gain advantage; increases evasion ability) 
SKL
- Skill (increases Critical Hit Rate, Attacks from Ranged Weapons, or potency of Skill Command Moves and Super Attacks)
LCK - Luck (decreases enemy's Critical Hit Rate, increases Critical Hit Rate, item drop rate and evasion ability)
DEF - Defense (for decreasing damage taken from Physical Attacks)
RES
- Resistance (for decreasing damage taken from Magical Attacks)

Turn System: Character with highest Spd moves first! (Not round-based.)

Here's the explanation for HUD based on Colors.
Bottom
Green bar and Number: HP (Health Points)
Blue bar and Number: MP (Magic Points)
White bar: Super Move bar in fashion of Final Fantasy's Limit Breaks or Tales of series' Mystic Artes. It will fill yellow (due to the fact that Mario's star color is yellow!) depending on the Super Move modes similar to Overdrive Modes in Final Fantasy X. If multiple characters fill the meter, some of the characters may do team-up Super Attack/Art! Ends initiator's turn too.
Orange bar and Number: BATTLE POINTS! Similar to Bravely Default's BP (Brave Points), Octopath Traveler's Boost and a little bit of Tales of's Chain Capacity, each party member can issue multiple moves in one turn! ZR button is used to initiate Chain up to three times, so party member can use 4 moves in one turn! Some abilities may use Battle Points instead of MP. If BP becomes minus, they cannot initiate the turn, similar to Bravely Default.

Above the party member (Clockwise):
Red and sword: Attack Command. Uses 1 Battle Point x (1 + how many Chains used).
Blue and shield: Defend Command. Halves damage taken but also restores 1 Battle Point.
Orange and 8-point star: Skill Command. Uses MP or BP to execute skill.
Green and backpack: Item Command. Uses Items to turn the battle tide on your favor.
Dark blue and arrows: Switch Command (don't know if I should use this or not...).
Two ideas:
Idea 1: Changes character's turn on the party. You can only switch if character's BP is not minus! Possibly a hidden kind of ATB as well too...
Idea 2: Changes characters on the reserve party, so more than five characters can participate in a battle while keeping maximum of five!
Black and running human: Flee Command. Not easy but high Speed may determine the party's ability to escape the battle! useful when encountering enemies that party cannot beat.


Perhaps many things of this will be able to come when the moment is right on the mood.

Really interesting style of game play here! I have a question: who else would join the party if you were to do the change to reserve party? I like that idea very similar to FFX or Persona 5
