(Click on 'Download' for higher resolution.)I've decided that I need to finish a bunch of stuff so that I can stop feeling "I reeeaally should..." about it.
The partially inked sketch for this has been on my harddrive for almost two years now. It was about time I finished it. Also took the opportunity to try out the colouring technique described in this tutorial: [link]
Unfortunately, I don't think my heart was in it, so it didn't really turn out as intended. But at least it's done now.
No, it's not supposed to be a 'realistic' melding of Ryuk and Light. It's... symbolic.

The symbolism is amazing. I noticed it the moment I saw this picture (and no, I'm not just talking about the Yin Yang, though that's great too. xD)

I found it awesome. Disturbing, but awesome. The blending between the characters went really nicely and it kept me wondering why are the heads and bodys switched 
For some reason I really loved the pose and the shining lines on Ryuk's body.
