Leopoldsteinersee - 09Well - finally my last shot from that day at the lake. I have some more, but they look too similar to the ones that are here already. Nine images are enough I guess. I'm going to pack my bag now, cause tomorrow I'm going to the lakes again to shoot some more images - this time most certainly under better weather conditions. I hope you enjoyed this group of pictures.

great HDR Andreas.. a lot of the lakes in canada look like this although slightly more pale green colour.. this is due to glacial meltwater but i'm presuming there are no glaciers nearby in Austria?

Thanks ... it's no HDR though - I blended the 3 exposures manually. As for the color - it's not because of a glacier (we have several of them in Austria though) but I guess because of minerals.

Danke dir ... da ich jetzt ja ein paar mehr Tricks was Bildbearbeitung angeht drauf habe, schaue ich über ein paar alte Bilder drüber, die eine zweite Chance verdient haben. Ich fahre heuer sicher wieder einige mal da rauf. Der See ist einfach ein Hammer und rundherum sind tolle Wanderwege.

There are certain particles in the water that are responsible for the color ... it's not a reflection of the sky ... that lake is particularly known for the strange color ...
