I don't get most photography DDs. Some are really beautiful, but sometimes pictures like these just seem like they simply kept the ladybug in a bottle; made sure that little thing gets on her face and make a picture. DD CONFIRMED.
It's not like she just happened to have a ladybug land on her and she HAPPENED to have a very professional picture in hand. :I

I don't get a lot of DDs, I tend not to even look at the page because some of the people who give them out just seem to not even look at the drawing they feature. *cough*theanthroone*cough**cough*
But as simple as this picture is, I think it's very pretty. I'd of featured it too

But for what it's worth, if the ladybird wasn't there, I would have still likely given the piece a DD. Look at the rawness of it, the photography hasn't retouched it, they haven't removed the small blemishes and veins, like so many do - this is raw, childish, beauty. That's why it got a DD, it's a unique perspective, it's a fantastic depth of field and it's a great example of how you don't need fancy lighting and high specs in order to capture something wonderful. Hope that clears some bits up for you

IMHO, this picture does not get it's DD because of the ladybug itself. Look at her eye, look at the use of depth of field, look at the great use of natural lights, look by the fact this was taken with 1100D.
Also, most photography DDs aren't ladybugs.

You did, implicitly. You may want to re-read your first two sentences.

Perfect! They both happen to be considered as an innocent, and I applause you for somehow managing to have both of them in one picture at the interesting way. ^u^
