Description
This is my rendition of the famous double-spired Koln (Cologne) Cathedral in Germany. A gorgeous cathedral with impressive architecture, it is the largest Gothic church in Northern Europe. It was built starting in the mid-1200's, and was one of the few structures that stood un-fallen in an otherwise destroyed city during WWII. What inspired me was how it towers over its surroundings, many times the size of buildings alongside it. I placed intricate detail on the cathedral and surrounded it in a mist of medieval houses all set in a hazy mist.Xacto knife etching on black Scratchboard
