OUR SOLAR SYSTEM- Flash presentation -
NOTE: This is the English (and revised) version of my Solar system (original and Romanian version).
Description of the 9 planets of our Solar System, including Distance from Sun, Diameter, Periods of rotation and revolution, Temperature and Atmosphere composition. Also, the presentation includes a simulation of the system's rotation.
*The dates presented here are gathered from different sources and may not be very accurate.
Background stars, Sun and planets composed in Photoshop from images on the Internet (different sites found with Google).
Basic Flash animation (motion/shape tweens) and some Action script for the "Solar System simulation". The rates of planet rotation are accurate (calculated in relation to our Earth's year).
The "Solar System simulation":
Usage: Just increase/decrease the speed of rotation, or set you own custom speed.
Explanation: "1 year = 10 seconds" means that the Earth is making its revolution period in 10 seconds (watch the 3rd planet from the Sun). Every other planet's speed is calculated from the Earth's speed of revolution. Also, fewer seconds means greater speed.
