Time to talk about another cancelled project of mine (i'm being honest on a lot of them lately).
This one was a project that i had the idea of around the winter 2020-2021, and it was made for a contest of the organization Comic Europe.
When around that time period, they were searching for graphic novel projects to publish, around the idea, was for the comics to have the covid pandemic as a central point to the plot of said comics, no matter in wich way.

So, my idea at the time, was to make the story be like a big parody of the post-apocaliptic genre, in the likes of stories like "The Last of Us", "The Walking Dead", etc...
With a big guy with a troubled past called Emmet (the riots of the beginning of the pandemic killed his girlfriend), and Ashley (a secretly mutant girl, that used to be human before, being mutated as a part of a secret scientific project to create "the perfect cure" of an over-mutated virus).

In the end, i made various drawings, concept art, comic cover and the such for the project, like this one, this one was meant to be a character model sheet for the character of Ashley.
But in the end... like an e-mail said, not all projects can win in a contest, and mine wasn't picked up, and other projects from people, with more deep profesional background, winned the contest.

And this week i said, it's already time to publish some of the art of the project that, i think still holds up. Enjoy.
