Before Mario has been a plumber, an olympian, a go-kart racer, the savior of the mushroom kingdom many times, and watering man in "sunshine" and many other things.
This fall you get to play as a ghost that possesses things/people (he's either that or a tunneling brain parasite that controls a living thing's motor function)
From the trailer, he makes Dishonored' Corvo's possession power look like child' play.
