Future Soldat 2040 Ranger ConceptA production model FS2040 robot upgraded to the Ranger variant on field training. Has armour that provides protection against 12.7mm HMG rounds and also carries a 12.7mm assault rifle with a 50 rnd clip. This is the standard colour scheme and can be changed to what is required.
The idea is that once the robot has finished it's diagnostics etc, it gets fully equipped and starts to train to gain real experience. Like here it is seen about to start a live fire exercise against targets so that it will have really high accuracy in combat. After this it will conduct squad tactics etc with other Rangers. I guess a week of training should be enough lol. Then it will be deployed.

Another interesting point...these things could run at 20mph. But for marching they could run at 10mph. Tirelessly lol. So that they could make rapid advances if no transportation was available.

just a note on the 12.7mm Heavy MG protection: the armor design should have some pretty good feet stabilizers to flatten a round from that monster and not trow you to the ground.

Wow thanks! Thanks for the suggestion. It weighs around 800kg fully equipped, and the armour should be capable of stopping the round. I guess it may be staggered a foot or two back...

But sustained fire from a HMG will chew one of these up
