I took a break from commission work to put this image together for my friend Laura's blog at laurajwilliamswriter.blogspot.comAccording to her description, the Red Cap is a murderous faery found in Scottish folklore. He resembles an old hunch-backed man, carrying an iron-pike, donning iron-clad boots, who is fast as lightning. He dwells in castles and towers, killing travelers regularly to keep his red cap drenched in blood, for if his cap dries out, he will turn to stone.

Is it just me, or does that pike look slightly similar to Marluxia's scythe from Kingdom Hearts?

Glad you like it! As for the pike, I have honestly never played the Kingdom Hearts games. I am, however, a fan of anime/manga and love some of the ridiculously over-sized, unbalanced weaponry some of the characters wield (especially when that character looks like they weigh no more than 90 pounds).

I agree! It's just so funny to see characters like Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist swing around, say, a claymore no bigger than a basketball net stand. Non-existent logic, anyone?
