Description
Derrick Fish's webcomic has been running since 2001, and he annually reserves a portion of the archives where it is handed over to the readers' guest strips, called Total Chaos. For this year's run, the previous piece I made called 'As a challenge, I decided to take his characters and render them and their Loudonville, Ohio environment as if they were captured screenshots of a film. The foliage, even though they resemble palms, are actually deciduous trees and conifers- the shapes are inspired by the line gestures of Dandy and Bernard's hair.
You can view the strip on his site today in the archives: [link] .
Starting January 2008, the comic is running daily at [link] . Total Chaos is running every Saturday until he runs out of guest strips.

Oooh, I like the way you did those background effects. There's a great sense of motion there.
"Maize" is a verb now?

The backgrounds are amazing! As is the whole thing! But the BGHs remind me of classic 40s cartoons. Nice work.

Not bad. It's been more stressful at work, and I am discovering I may not be as good a long-term writer as I had thought back in 2002.
