Description Just had a little fun with this!

A NOTE: From the look of some of the comments here, it seems as though many people didn't get that I was trying to put the elements of the robot Bender from "Futurama" into these characters! For those of you who DID get that reference, you're fine. But it just baffles me that so many people thought I was just trying to turn these two into robots instead of a specific TV cartoon character! How else would you have been able to laugh at the idea behind Strongbot's two cuss words in a row?!

You know what's creepy? I had just made a Homestar Futurama crossover 4 days ago and I also had Strong Bad as Bender. Heh, I guess Strong Bad WOULD make a good Bender [link]

That Homestar Bender looks great!

Oh and do you remember me from that Clone High Live Journal? I had the same name on there.

Hi there! I remember you clearly!

My, DA seems to be kicking LiveJournal's posterior!

I'll add you to my devwatch. Do you want to be an Artist Friend, Deviant Friend, or Lurker (see latest entry).

Hmmm, I'll be a "Deviant Friend". I'll add you to my devwatch as well. I've seen your other Futurama and Clone High art, and that looks great as well.

Oh and as for that Livejournal place, I finally was placed as mod there, but it's starting to die off, except for Canadian viewers.

yeah I am. I can speak English and Malay. Actually I am supposed to be able to speak chinese too (being one). But ashamedly i can't. Will learn soon... I hope. How bout you? Kaiko? What race is that? I was always quite intrigued.

andrewk In reply to ashkeryne [2003-09-17 15:30:32 +0000 UTC]

That's a family mystery. My Dad is American, but has a bit of European in him (mostly Polish). Yet one assumption is that the name "Kaiko" came from the Alps, and because of the way it sounds, others say it comes from Japan (in fact, he met a Japanese airport employee who has that name too!).

"KAIKO- Save 15% or more on car insurance"

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ashkeryne In reply to andrewk [2003-09-18 01:43:21 +0000 UTC]

Kaiko, hahaha. I thought it was japanese at first too. Well, my name is actually chinese Wong or Huang which means yellow. It became Vong due to a spelling mistake!!! like 5 generations ago my great^4 grandfather had to register with the Brits. But they all didn't know english very well adn somehow it came out Vong. Ah, well, I like it.

What's with the car insurance?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

andrewk In reply to ashkeryne [2003-09-18 02:00:04 +0000 UTC]

Those ruddy Brits!

And about my closing remark, there's a car insurance company called GEICO Direct. You pronounce it the exact same way as Kaiko, only with a G. I was making a spin off of the slogan they put in their commercials. Although, I don't think the comercials air in Malaysia.

Connecticut. is that east coast or west coast? My geography of America is not very strong.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

andrewk In reply to ashkeryne [2003-09-18 02:06:28 +0000 UTC]

East coast. If you get a map of the US, I'm in the Northeast, the little strip of land pointing outward on the top right.

ashkeryne In reply to andrewk [2003-09-18 02:14:11 +0000 UTC]

Ahh... ok cool. i think I can guess where it is. Haha. I can never memorise the American map. Like, I know almost every country and a lot of cities in asia, middle east, africa, europe but I have no idea on america. Think I depend too much on tv serials to know about America

Ahh... ok cool. i think I can guess where it is. Haha. I can never memorise the Malaysian map. Like, I know almost every country and a lot of cities in the Northeast, Southeast and Midwest, but I have no idea on Malaysia. Think I depend too much on tv serials to know about Malaysia (which is not... much... really...).

I have been an avid fan of the fantasy-humor graphic novel BONE by Jeff Smith (written, drawn, and published by himself). Here's the official website, if you're curious [link] .

I have also read a little bit of Neil Gaimen's graphic novel starring Morpheus, the God of Dreaming (forgot the name of the series at the moment).

ashkeryne In reply to andrewk [2003-09-18 16:40:37 +0000 UTC]

HAhahaha. The name is the Sandman. I LOVE LOVE LOVE those comics. it's damn beautiful. Just have a problem getting my hands on it

I have heard of BONE. I did think Cory and Norm had alot of similarity from the little I have seen of it (BONE I mean). The genre was similar. Cool.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

andrewk In reply to ashkeryne [2003-09-18 21:30:32 +0000 UTC]

The SANDman! God, how could i forget that title?!?

Morpheus is a cool cat- if you've seen " Labyrinth", he's sort of like the Goblin King, played by David Bowie! Although the comic is supposed to be entirely serious and dark (which don't usually turn me on), The Sandman has such great stories. And the crow is a riot!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ashkeryne In reply to andrewk [2003-09-19 01:29:17 +0000 UTC]

Haha. I just really love the poetic and weirdness of the Sandman. I find the ideas really fresh. yeah, it is rather dark. But at least not evil. That's for the Spawn comics. those are evil.
