What if the prequels were good? And they started with the Clone Wars, really expanding on why Anakin was such a GOOD Jedi (not a whiny brat) and why Vader was so feared. If the whole third movie was Anakin going full Vader before he dons the armor?I had to entertain the thought and wip up some designs. Re-casting the role of course and aging him up, I thought a really good actor would be Michael Fassbender (when the prequels came out, Fassbender only began his career, who knows if he could have been right at that time but i'm going off his acting chops in the present). The evolution of the relationship between Xavier and Magneto in X-Men: First Class of going from friends to foes is exactly what is needed for Obi-Wan and Anakin. Someone who begins with good intentions and then turns to darker means to achieve their goals and then becomes a full villain, I think Fassbender pulls off and would pull that off perfectly. His scene in Days of Future Past on the plane convinced me; that's the type of rage and fuel that was needed for Anakin when he turns to the dark side.
Anyways, here are some quick concepts of how I might have imagined it. I didn't intend to re-design Vader's armor at first but I got carried away.

On the contrary. I'm probably one of the few people on this planet who ranks The Last Jedi above the prequels. In spite of that movie's flaws, I'd rather watch that in a heartbeat then sit through Attack of the Clones.

I agree, AOTC isn't a very good movie. But it was necessary to the overall story.

Not particularly. The Clone Wars fills in the gaps between Episodes II and III. Plus, with a few exceptions, Episode III is mostly self-contained. Meaning you could (in theory) skip AOTC entirely and just watch ROTS after Phantom Menace. ROTS does a better job conveying Anakin's gradual slip into the dark side better, if you ask me.

Man this is too weird, I also had the idea to re-imagine the prequels, specifically Anakin, so that they were actually good, draw the versions from Episode I through III, AND imagined Fassbender as being the perfect man for the job, specifically from his performance in First Class and Days of Future Past. Are we the same person?

What I like about the armor on the far right is that this could be what Vader's armor would look like if Sidious didn't cut so many corners in its design. As the original suit we know him for is actually a lot cruder than it looks and operates, and if he actually cared about Anakin after his defeat on Mustafar, would've invested more resources into Vader's armor like this one looked like it had.

I like your redux of him, but I do still think Hayden played Anakin quite well. The real problem was with his character's development, which I think can be blamed on Lucas.

Honestly, I'm not sure! I just kind of played around with different little tweaks and I remember looking at some of the original Ralph McQuarrie paintings and thought the gas mask kind of look that Luke had was interesting.

I'm thankfull they made the Clone Wars animated series. For me, it really saves the prequel trilogy, especially from season 3 and onwards.

The Prequels are perfect the way they are. If you were a true Star Wars fan, you'd know and accept this but you're obviously just another loser with a nostalia hard on that can't accept Lucas's vision

The Prequel trilogy makes me sad now--because most of the plot/ideas aren't BAD, per-se, it just suffers from poor execution. Lucas is a great idea man, but he needs other writers and directors to make them really shine.

I'll never forget the moment when I was a kid and realized the prequels were bad. Both trilogies make for a great lesson in good and bad film making.
