Description One of the many differences I found between the two characters is how much of a badass Bane is. I'm constantly going "God damn, that's badass." He's the ultimate brains and brawn mastermind kind of villain. Jokers a deep "too cool for school" villain.

Both characters are great and I thought this was a funny idea. Bane really did complete Joker's goal to throw the entire city into chaos and this popped up in my head

interesting to note: according to a comic tie-in, Bane was going to recruit Joker, but changed his mind with Joker killed the men sent to free him

Hmmm... comic-book bane a bit milquetoast, but I quite like movie bane.

Also, hilarious.

Bane is a boring fly by night character who cannot compete with the classic bat-villains. The Joker is a million times more scary.

It may have been their roles. The Joker was front and center the entire movie. Bane's role was secondary to that of Bruce Wayne/Batman.

I like The Joker more cause he's so much more crazy. Bane is badass but I didn't like his character, Tom Hardy did do an amazing job, but something is missing in the character.

But I like your work especially the expression on the joker's face Great JOB

Thanks! I actually think Bane was a great and full villain. It's because we got the Joker first that you think something is missing. Heath's performance has become so legendary that anything will pale in comparison no matter what.

Your Welcome! And perhaps you're right, I do think it would be hard to match Heath's performance

I can't say which performance I like more, though I do like Joker as a character more. I can't really compare the two parts in the movie because they have their differences, so unless the two actors played the same character I can't say which is the best (if that makes sense)

I'm going to have to respectfully disagree. Heath may have made for an incredible joker, but Hardy's Bane seemed more... real. Joker doesn't work incredibly great in a realistic version of Batman; I mean, I'll hazard a guess that somebody that crazy probably couldn't function at that level in reality.

Which begs the question: was The Joker really crazy or did he just no longer give a care about anything but his own extreme entertainment at Batman's expense?

Though I agree about what you're saying with Bane being more real, I found I enjoyed Heath's performance more. I'm not saying I like one better because it's hard to compare the two because they're so different and they challenge Batman in completely different ways. But for me, The Joker is a unique type of antagonist that I haven't seen on screen before with is unpredictable chaotic nature And its the appeal to watch the Joker because no, he can't exist in real life. Bane however is that calculative leader with a master plan that we've seen in other movies- Bane being the ultimate version of that type of villain.

Anyways, that's the Joker's appeal for me (besides being a life long fan). But Bane can beat the Joker's ass any day

So, The Joker has the ultimate talent for ruining the best-laid plans and twisting them to meet his own ends. He did face some muscle in TDK (Gambol) and dealt with it. But, everyone who crossed Bane wound up dead (except for Wayne, Kyle, Blake and Gordon) each in very brutal fashion. Assuming both The Joker and Bane know each others' reputations (and Bane's not dead), do you think The Joker would try to double cross Bane in favor of himself?

I like this. Bane is a badass, but I like the Joker better.
