Description In 2009, I was hired by a large Panama hat company, to travel to Ecuador and photograph their hats and how they are made.

This is a great photo. I love photos that tell a story and there is loads of interesting detail in this one. Great use of backlight but the face also looks perfect in exposure terms. I also love the blow out on the hat by the window. Was this put there deliberately or a stroke of luck?

from initial weaving to final product takes about two weeks i think. after initial weaving the factory work takes about 3 days.
