So it seemed pretty obvious to draw reference from the golems in dragon age for EDI and Legion’s look, though actual DA golems are pretty huge and bulky (and I think created from living dwarven volunteers). I’m not really sure of the exact nature of how they’re created but Mass Effect characters in DA is already enough of a stretch in regards to the lore. I’m thinking after acquiring Mordin and Tali in the Deep Roads Shepard would then come across a long lost community of golems and EDI would sort of be their leader/queen and Legion would act as her personal bodyguard. They’d be wary of Shepard at first due to their prior enslavement at the hands of their dwarven creators.EDI: Like Tali she’d be an expert on darkspawn given her long years spent in the deep roads and her combat abilites would be similar to Shale’s in DA with an arsenal of different offensive crystal abilities. Also if you thought Joker had it rough before now he’s screwed
Legion: Fiercely loyal to EDI and somewhat overprotective, Legion wields a specially built in crossbow that he arms with crystals pried from his body.
characters left: Javik, James, Kasumi, Zaeed, and maybe Joker. Then I’m finally finished!

the EDI golem is not so great, but the Legion one is AWESOME
the crystals on his back give the impression of an antennae!!!! VERY AWESOME!!!!
But I must confess I am dissapointed that you are not doing Ashley as a member of the chantry.
Maybe you should make Joker an elf, since they have the most subtantial vehicles (to my knowledge)

Another great picture! Legion was together with Thane and Samara my favourite squad mate in ME2, and EDI became a favourite in the third game. I enjoyed how EDI seemed to feel a connection to Legion in the game, so I'm glad you made their fates connected in Dragon Effect.
Artwise, I especially love the part of your design that is the glowing crystals and runes. EDI looks very elegant (instead of her awkward "hot robot" look in ME3). And the crystals give Legion his characteristic glowing "eye", and his "broken/empty heart".
So only 2 or 3 paintings left then. Looking forward to the last few pieces of Dragon Effect! Kasumi is also one of my favourite female characters in ME btw.

In... regards to how EDI and Legion would be made in contrary to the normal bulkiness of other Golems, it could be that they are actually spirits that possessed the bodies or personalities pull from the stone itself or something to that extent (a perfect moment that could not be repeated)? I don't know it's just a thought that I had while reading the description. But either way, this is a breathtaking piece! Thank you so much for sharing it with us (:

Since you seem to always make them in sets of two, maybe you can do it like this: Javik and James, Kasumi and Zaeed then Joker and the Illusive man?

What I'v read about DA golems, they were first designed to be way bigger, but because they *couldn't fit through doors* they were made a bit smaller. With that in mind, I think the body's size/proportions aren't that important, they just work best in that bulky mode for fighting like a tank, in the way Shale does. So I dun think having more nimble, smaller golems would be impossible at all :3c I actually like the whole idea of different types of golems for different things alot >v< it makes sense~
And the Dragon Effect series is ALWAYS a joy to see more of! So kewl. Keep up the good work~!

Niiiice. Kasumi is half-evident, being that she's the Baldur's Gate Thief sprite rendered as a polygonal model, so I'm more interested on your take on Zaeed and his artificial eye.
Could we possibly persuade you to do some ME baddies after that? I have this silly notion of TIM as a Blight-corrupted Chantryman...
